What are you reading? Something Gothic, suitably dark? Come on, share...

Yay!
Now, I'm not reading this yet, but I'm going to make room for it on my to-read shelf as it looks great. I think it's more YA, paranormal/mythic, than Gothic, but hey, I just have to share it:
Everneath
The cover is exquisite too!

Added to my amazon wish-list! :)
Well the sequel hasn't been published yet, lol, I've got a copy cuz I'm a main editor. But the first is Wolves Among Sheep by Melanie Fair, not a gothic book but a vampird and werewolf one :)
I am doing a little dance for joy at the moment, Sherri, as I noticed that you have finished reading Sorrow's Child, and that you enjoyed it! I am thrilled! :D:D Gina.
Lol, thanks! It really is a wonderful book :)
I did! I didn't realize I was on the last page of it cuz it was on my kindle but I was sad when it ended.... And I can honestly say that Ge-lad had it easy xD should've had more happen xD

So HAPPY. I totally agree, it was a joy to write that ending!! He resurfaces in the series of course. :D
Perfectly fine if it's not Gothic. :) Should rename the topic. I'm not reading anything Gothic at the moment either.
I'm finishing the last few pages of: The Men Who Stare at Goats, then back to Wonder Tales: Six French Stories of Enchantment. Then I have about ten books on my asap list (some waiting on my kindle, a few at the library).

Well ai just finished reading Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake, and the next book on my list is My Blood Approves by Amanda Hocking. I know the Anna book was dark but I have no idea if Hocking's M.B.A. is, we shall find out :)

Looks great. Added it. Thanks. (Ditto non Christian) :)

Very jealous about ADIB! :)

Ooh... My Blood Approves was very good :D Happy reading Sherri :)

Sure Natalie, definitely share! But probably best in the 'Tell Us Something' thread. I know this short story people. Read and loved. Seek it out. :) Gina

I just got my copy of Something Red in the mail today, can't wait.

I'm starting Tell The Wolves I'm Home: A Novel
I loved Angelfall. Very nicely done, definitely want to read the next book as soon as it's out! Since then I've read: The Hunger Games, which was great, 5.5 stars. Now I'm reading (almost finished): Catching Fire which is not as good. I'm thinking 3 stars (I liked it).
After Catching Fire, I'm going to read: Like Water for Chocolate and The Invention of Hugo Cabret, which Ronyell recommended to me, and has finally come in at the library.

It will have to come after Like Water for Chocolate and Hugo, as they are library books. It's taken a couple of months to get Hugo in. I have to read them both in the next few weeks, then I'll go on to Mockingjay. Trying to write too.
My attempt at ignoring the dishes, housework and farm duties isn't working either. I've also found heaps of great books in the last few days that I want to read. Good thing we don't get TV. Movies are rare too. Wouldn't have time to fit anything else in anyway. :) Although craving to get stuck into a new art project too. I need some free, quiet time. Hah!

Hahaha!

Haha thanks for linking it! And it is! First time an author has actually contacted me for a r2r! Besides you lol

Read these two yesterday:Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
and
We Have Always Lived in the Castle. Reading this one today:Them: Adventures with Extremists
(The upside of being sick in bed).

Good, but slightly unsatisfying. I gave it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. The second half passes in a bit of a rush. I wanted to know more about the characters and the hollowgast (think I've spelt that right). Definitely worth reading though!
And: We Have Always Lived in the Castle is such a WONDERFUL gothic novel. Just loved it!
