I was a bit apprehensive for this challenge, because normally new challenges mean buying a lot more books and my budget is really tight.
But planning this challenge I discovered that I own books for 25 tasks. I also recently bought a book for the choose wisely challenge that is on its way and which I can also use for this challenge. So that is 26 tasks covered. That means I only need books for 4 other tasks and one of them I will have to buy in 2013 so that is some time off. I am very happy :D
I only need books now for tasks 4, 7, 11 and 25.

There seem to be a lot of old school bodice ripper type romances on my list. I don't think I have read so many "trashy" romance novels since I was in high school!
Did you see my list?
I also have quite some "trashy" romance novels on there. Apparently this is just the challenge to read those kid of books :)

You don't have to, if you look hard enough there are other books that fit the theme. I think I only have one or two... I don't do romance books much!

BTW Lauren, you can't read "Sweet Venom" for no.5 - the word "sweet" itself doesn't count unless it refers to candy :(
YaY! Of course, I am in the middle of too many other books to actually start today...
I have the day off, and a new tablet to read on, so just maybe I can read enough to start a new book tonight?:-)
I have the day off, and a new tablet to read on, so just maybe I can read enough to start a new book tonight?:-)
I started last night, but only at 11 at night. Since you guys are an hour ahead, I thought since that meant it was 12 in South Africa and that meant it was officially the 20th I could start without feeling guilty or cheating :)

I didn't know we could use it for this challenge. I had another book in mind to read for task 18. But since I only read day one, I can use it too. Cool!

Well, I found another book for task 18 so I was happy with that one. I didn't even look futher to see if there were other books I could use.
It was the first challenge where I already had most of the books I needed, so I was happy.
I nominated the trapped task with another book in mind.
But I will use this one now.

Same here. There are piles of to-be-read books so everything must come either from the piles or the library and must preferably be useful for another challenge as well! I'm also about 4 books short at the moment.

Cool!
I love to buy books and I want to own every book I read, but when the budghet is tight that becomes a problem.
I am glad you also have most books lined up. It is much easier to read for a challenge when that is the case.
Good luck!

Lu, I have a question about the book you're planning on reading for task 23. Does the fact that the word "the" always precedes the word "devil" make it not a name but a title. Like in the upper devil, because there are a lot of devils. And the Devil has various names like Satan or Lucifer.
Not too sure if the Devil is a name and so I am just asking.
You could always reread the second Harry Potter book :)

Lu, I would say no. To my understanding Devil is more a role he plays, which is why it always has the in front of it. His name is Lucifer...
Sorry Lu, for bringing it up and making you search for another book :(
But like I said, HP 2 is an option :)

Finished When the sea is rising red of No. 22

p.s A name is (I think) what people use when calling you or speaking to you directly- The Devil is more a title then a name in my opinion.
