You probably haven't. It's not one of the better known novels out there.

Jade Varden (jadevarden) Gone With the Wind

message 4: by Mary (new)

Mary Gebhard (marycatherinegebhard) I have two:

Sanctuary by William Faulkner
and
Tom Jones by Henry Fielding.

They're pretty different but I love them.

I haven't read any of the others mentioned.

Mary Gebhard (marycatherinegebhard) Tom Jones is really long. It took me forever because it's a century or two old, I think, and the words are somewhat archaic. The writing is beautiful though.

Sanctuary isn't very long and it's the darkest, most enthralling book I've ever read.

A Song Of Ice And Fire series
The Dark Tower series

I think a lot of my favourite books are series books rather than stand-alones...

message 28: by Lori (new)

Lori | 10 comments I think I'm a series junkie 2. I love to stick with characters for that long, you feel like you've lived their life. I particularly feel that way about game of thrones. I keep reading those if there were like 20.

message 29: by Becky (new)

Becky (beaktastic) | 5 comments Same. I love seeing the characters develop and go through all those different experiences and to see what happens to them. Love the ASOIAF books, they're great. I'll keep reading them until they stop being written.

message 30: by Lori (new)

Lori | 10 comments I'm kinda worried he won't finish them, though. People who write such good books should get to live a couple hundred years :)

message 46: by Gisela (new)

Gisela (giselabocco) | 1 comments The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger Love this book...it left me speechless the first time I red it, and it still does....

message 47: by Ellese (new)

Ellese (faithfulumbrella) | 33 comments I have entirely too many. I go more by series than I do individual books, so my favorite series thus far are:

Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson series
Jennifer Estep's Spider Assassin series
Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series
Carrie Vaughn's Werewolf series (Kitty Norville)
Kat Richardson's Greywalker series
Deborah Harkness' A Discovery of Witches
Christine Feehan's Drake Sisters series (and now her Sisters of the Heart series)

that should be enough of a list for now :)

But if you want one book I could read over and over (which isn't common for me)? That would be Dangerous Tides by Christine Feehan, dunno why I like it so much but I do :)

message 48: by J (new)

J (homedweller) Me, too!! :D I really love that whole series-- just full of awesomeness. :3 And have you read her Beka Cooper series yet?

message 49: by J (new)

J (homedweller) I haven't read it yet, either-- it's next on my reading list, though! :D I'll try to remember to let you know how it is. :] And those two are so much fun! x3 <3
