hi Joy! I read the first few books but look forward to seeing the ending soon. My hubby is the one who got me started on them as well. The series has a little of everything, romance included so I hope you enjoy them.

I attempted to read Alice's Adventures... Many times as a child as it was my first chapter book.I don't think I ever finished it then because I didn't understand it was supposed to be at times silly and confusing.

Well, I won't reach 75 though I still have a few more that I hope to get to before the end of the year.

That's OK, L! You've still read a LOT this year - and I hope this group is an encouragement to you, no matter the ultimate "number" at the end of the year.

5 stars! I enjoyed this book so much, the way Zenia played off the character insecurities etc. I didn't like her character but thought she was well written.

Lisa | 196 comments My final book in 2009...

64. Life of pi by Yann Martel --- I waited a long time to finally make time for this. I really enjoyed it for the most part except for one thing. I tend to read a lot during breakfast and lunch and this book goes into a lot of graphic often gory detail of how pi ate to survive his time on the lifeboat. Often I would come to these sections while eating and have to stop reading.

L, I loved life of pie! I didn't think it was going to be my kind of book so I was suprised that I liked it so much and I still think about it now and then. This was a great choice for a year end book.
