This rp is based on the GONE series.

There are to be no characters from the book included in this rp.


Everyone over the age of 14 have disappeared. Gone. Completely gone. The cause is unknown. An unbreakable dome has formed around the area, and the people inside are clueless as to what happened to all those over 14. Chaos reigns.
This rp will start the second that everyone over 14 disappears. We don't need to stick to anything in the book too strongly, and can come up with our own cause of the FAYZ if people would like to.

Just for fun I'm gonna base this character off of me. Minus having siblings. :P Oh, and with a power. Just for the fun of it.


Name: Helena
Age: 14
Gender: female
Appearance: She has long and layered, naturally curly, bronze hair with straightened angled bangs, along with large, blue/green/grey/brown eyes in color that occasionally show her emotions. Her skin is pale, but sometimes has a light golden tan. She comes to a good 5' 6" and is slender. Helena doesn't exercise as much as she would like to, but still manages to keep thin.
Was where when adults disappeared?: At home in Perdido Beach while the others kids were at school.

Power: ((extreme adaptability/survival)) She doesn't know exactly what it is, but things don't effect her as they should. She first noticed she had "powers" when she was out for a walk and stayed out longer than she had expected. By the time she made it back, she realized that the streetlights were on, the sun had set, and the sky was dark with clouds. Yet she hadn't noticed. To her it was as bright as day. Even in the dark allies. Later, she tested it in the dark of her bedroom. She could see in the dark. She next realized something was strange when she was grilling and accidently brushed her arm up against the hot metal of the grill. Only it had not burned her. In fact, she barely felt it. She didn't know what was going on or why, or even the extent of what could happen.
Background: Moved to the town a while ago from Vermont, and is homeschooled. She doesn't get out much.
Skills: Problem solving, thinking logically, organization, cooling down tough situations, being a leader, knows some first aid, knows quite a bit survival stuff, and more.

Was where when adults disappeared?: Coates Academy

Bars of power: 2 bars

Power: Able to transform objects into various things but it has to stay within the same element-metal objects can only be turned into another metal object(Guns into knives, etc). Stella found out about her powers a little less than a year ago, but has been practicing it in secret ever since then and she has gotten quite good at it. Well, very good at it since she practices whenever she could. One day, she simply had been holding a small rough stone in her hand and she imagined it being smooth...and just like that it was.

Background: Stella, as normal as she may look on the outside, is seriously messed up on the inside. She is a class A psychopath. No one knows why since she technically had a very normal life at home, or so it seemed on the outside. Her father was secretly gay, her mother a plastic surgery fanatic, and her sister was a...possibly the only normal person in the family. Sure, they all went to church, dressed the right way, and lived in the nice little white house in the suburb with the little white picket fence with the oak tree on the front lawn-seeming like a completely normal, functional family. That was until little Stella was found in the back yard with the neighbors cat, which was dead and hanging from the tree by its tail. Cliche? Perhaps, but this was only when she was seven years old. And it got worse from there. They sent her to many therapists, but eventually she was shipped off to Coates just so they could keep up their appearance of normality, which was impossible with Stella running around killing neighborhood pets just for fun.

Skills: Stella is rather skilled in hand to hand combat, able to win fist fights with a crazy grin on her face, and she is very capable with weapons. The crazy girls loves to slice and dice anything that can move and cry out an in pain, not really a squeamish kind of girl, obviously.

Power: Making illustrations come to life, though it does drain him and he can't really do much afterwards, but has been trying to get it so that it doesn't make him feel so weak afterwards. Then again, it really does depend on the size of the image he is bringing to life since even he does have his limits even though he is considered quite powerful. The day Eric found out he was a freak, it had been a rainy day and he had been home alone. Being bored and alone, he picked up a book to read. In the book, there was a sketch of a small puppy on a page, which made him really wish he could have a pet. He focused on the sketch so much, he nearly jumped out of his skin when the sketch literally jumped off the page, barked at him and tried to lick his face.

Background: Eric looks like a typical jock with his sunny blonde hair and washboard abs, but he does have a brain, but not enough to be really considered a highly intellectual being. After all, around his friends, he was always spotted playing sports, at the gym, or at the beach surfing, which explains his very nice physical appearance. Though, really it was his father to blame for it all, since he hadn't wanted Eric to be one of those lanky skinny kids that were always picked on at school. Instead, Eric turned into one of the buff bullies, not that he actually liked picking on people, it was all for appearance. Always for appearance-kept his father happy and off his back. There was no mother in the picture since his mother died when he was three years old, which only left him with his hard-ass father.

Skills: He is strong, fast, and a pretty good fighter. He doesn't like fighting, but if the situation calls for it, he won't hesitate too much.

Appearance: Asian, black hair that goes to her mid back, bangs that sweep across the the right side of her forehead and top of eye, one strip of hair on the side of her head is green, dark brown eyes. 5'2

Bars of power: 2
Power: Power over density(not as strong as Ducky's), her limitations 1 ounce - 500 pounds, if she's using it on others it's 1 pound - 300 pounds
Background: She's very close with her family, so once her dad, step-mom and older brother disapeared she had a mini inner meltdown. On the outside though, she stayed strong for her other little brother. (if we can't make more than one character I'll change it) Other than that she's a pretty laidback person who easily passes all her classes with As an Bs without trying and is very sarcastic. Dispite her usual personality, she'll kick your butt if you threaten her.
Skills: Learns things quickly, she's mastered her power so that she can KO you by lightly tapping you, run really fast etc.

Appearance: Asian/white, messy, tossled black hair that's about two inches long, lightish brown eyes. 5'5", gets his height from his mom.

Background: Ciels little half-brother(different mom's) and the youngest of the family. Hates being babied but since his family does it so much the only one he lets treat him like a child is Ciel. He always got into fights with older kids at school and playful fights with his brother, who he misses a lot. Rebellious and easily irritated, but actually really smart.
Skills: Very fast, quick reactions, a good fighter

Name: Shane Weathers

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Shane has always been known as a wild boy with his cloudy blue eyes and creamy earthen complexion. His body is fit and lean from being constantly active. With a height of 5' 5", he's about average for his age, maybe a bit under, but he's fine with that. His skin is covered in cuts, bruises and scars; but he usually doesn't know where they've come from.

Was where when adults disappeared?: Southeast Bitterweed Valley. He and his parents had just finished a trip near Lake Tramonto, and they were hiking back.

Bars of power: 4

Power: Manipulation of Elements. He is able to control the four major elements, ranging from lighting a fire in his palm, lifting water from a cup, moving clouds with wind by flicking his wrist or causing an earthquake when he's angry. He is aware of his abilities, but he has refrained from even thinking about the odd occurances in the past couple of months, choosing instead to skirt around them until they became an immediate issue.

Background: When Shane was young, he had always hated being indoors. He loved playing in the mud, whistling to the tune of the breeze, staying up late at campsites just watching the fire. His parents themselves were wanderlusts and took their son's preference of exploring to a whole new level when he reached the age of 7, after he expressed to them just how much he wanted to travel.

He was away from the city often, home-schooled and mostly on the move until he moved to Perdido Beach, California. He really liked it there for some reason, at the age of 12, and enjoyed the weather, the casualty, the openness. And the ocean. Oh, the ocean. The beauty of the scenery, how many biomes were just a 5 hour walk away, he loved it. And so he convinced his parents to stay. Within a 2 years of being there he had explored most of the entire region within a 10 mile radius, taking days off of school with his parents to see the sights and roam the area, constantly marveling at all that was available.

Skills: Shane is basically a wilderness explorer with plenty of pratical abilities. Over the years, he's developed a natural survival instinct, which he usually bases his decisions off of; though he is not without common sense. He's practical, a good listener, and has one of the best sets of puppy dog eyes you've ever seen.

Hehe, well, it was said they were rare, and I thought that 1 out of 5 was pretty rare, so... ^^;;

I've never actually read the GONE series. But I've heard enough fangirling from my friends and read enough reviews (along with the Wiki) that I understand most of what has gone on. Is that okay??

I think it would be fun to not have much influence from the book, aside from the setting... I haven't actually read the books so I wouldn't be able to follow along very well, but it's also fun to be creative with stuff like this :)

yeah, it gets confusing when people can't remember what happened in the book XD (that's happened to me before)

Name: Juliet Blake Starr (people just call her Blake though)
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Was where when adults disappeared?: At the grocery store
Bars of power: 2
Power: Blake can hear whispers. It's like she has some sort of sense that tells her stuff and often she listens to it. Usually she'll just cock her head slightly and every sound around her will suddenly dissapear as this strange whisper fills her head. She's not very good at controlling it but it appears whenever she is faced with a choice or hears a question.
Background: Blake has always been different. She's very shy and she rarely talks to others. The only person she does talk to or trust is her twin brother, Riley. He's the only person who knows anything about her. While Riley went to school Blake was kept at home and did online schooling due to her odd nature. While she was kept as a little secret in her family, her brother was able to excell at everything and yet she never seemed to hold a grudge. She always had the whisper in her mind and on the day that the FAYZ appeared she listened to the whisper as it told her that things were going to change.
Skills: Blake is incredibly skilled with technology, she spent most of her life playing video games and messing around with electronics. She can fashion a taser out of an old gameboy and a battery. When given the right tools her skills are lethal.

Gender: Male
Appearance:
Was where when adults disappeared?: School
Background: Riley was raised very close to his sister, Blake. Aside from him she never spoke to anyone their age and he tried his best to make her talk to people. At school he was somewhat popular and he always ended up playing a game of kickball or baseball out in the streets with his friends. Academic wise he tended to stay out of the limelight and unless you knew him, then you probably never realized he existed. He's always had a soft spot for people in pain and would do anything to help others.
Skills: He's a skilled athlete and is quite lethal with a baseball bat. He has quite a bit of knowledge on survival skills from his Father. Both Blake and Riley's father lives in Nepal and trains people how to survive in different climates, including Mount Everest.

I think it could be useful if you did... But you don't have to if you don't want to; it wasn't that difficult to find the GONE wiki...

I don't mind doing that. It might draw others to the rp.

Name: Genevieve "Genna" Bandit
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Appearance: Thick, clumpy black hair cut short around her face, often hidden under a hat; muddy-brown eyes - not the pretty muddy brown, either: hers are the kind with dark grey flecks and blackish swirls that look like her irises are really mud; medium-pale skin; fairly spotty and 'multi-colored'(as my friend calls it): her skin doesn't stay the same shade throughout(her arms are different than her face which is different than her legs, etc.); fairly tall(5'7") and stocky; very long fingernails which she uses to poke people. Often she is seen wearing a T-shirt, hoodie, hat(of nearly any style), sneakers, and jeans.

Power: Camouflage.
Background: Originally from Portland, OR, the last thing Genna wanted was to move here. She was home-schooled her entire life, had made many friends during her time at her Home-School Learning Center(it wasn't called that, but that's what it was); she even had a boyfriend for a while. To her, moving here was possibly the worst thing to happen with the worst timing.
She came here just a month before the over-14's disappeared, and doesn't really know many people.
Skills: She's pretty strong(at least for lifting things) and decently fast; a pretty tough swimmer as long as it's long-distance not speed; can fire a rifle if necessary; doesn't need to eat much. She can also drive a car or motorcycle, and ride a bike, scooter or segway; she just can't do boats at all.
Other: 'Afraid of water', as she'll say, but what she really means is 'Afraid of large bodies of water.' She hates it when people make remarks like 'How can you survive, you need to drink water?'

Name: Zachary Smith

Age: 5

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Zach has styled dirty blonde hair and doe-like brown eyes with a cute smile to match. He's of a regular body type for his age, though a bit on the lighter side, and has a lithe build.

Was where when adults disappeared?: Town Park's Playground

Bars of power: 2

Power: Envisioning the future through drawings. He keeps a sketch book of everything he's ever drawn, except from when he was really little, and always keeps it on his person, or with his mother if she's around and he's busy. He treasures all of his drawings and keeps them close for undetermined reasons, and not even his parents can break him away from this sketch book unless he bestows them with it for a very, very short period of time.

Background: Ever since Zach was a toddler, he had always loved drawing. His parents could never really explain it; he just knew where a utensil was and drew wherever he wanted. Sometimes on his bedroom wall, sometimes scratching it into the sidewalk with a chalk rock, sometimes painting with his own blood after picking a scab open. He would simply go into a trance that no one could shake him from until he was done, and keep whatever he drew in his sketchbooks. If he drew it on something he couldn't pick up, he would exactly replicate it on a page of his book when he got home or otherwise had access to it. His parents had grown to accept their son's strange habit, as well as his startling level of maturity, though he has always been viewed as an outcast of sorts in his age group as he prefered sitting near the sandbox to draw rather than play with his peers.

Skills: Drawing. Because Zach is always drawing, his artistic abilities are superb. He has an extremely good memory, a keen eye for details and is very dextrous with his hands. He is surprisingly good at communicating exactly what he wants, be it verbally or through a pictogram, and is concise even at his young age.

Name: Aleks Carroway
Age: 13
Gender: male

Aleks is slender and short, averaging about 5"2. He's got long raven hair and bright blue eyes. He follows a kind of gothic style, which got him picked on a lot, along with his anti-social behavior. 
Personality: He's an isolated kind of person, and he reacts more often than not with his fake beings than real people, but he is useful if you need information or want to see someone from beyond the FAYS. 
Was where when adults disappeared?: Perdido Beach, running from upperclassmen. 
Bars of power: 3
Power: He can create illusions: real ones that you can reach out and touch and will respond to outside stimuli. He can create the most realistic beings, and if they're a certain person or animal, they will act and respond just like the original did, but won't retain the same information they have if they're outside the dome. 
Background: He was left alone a lot as a kid, so he started imagining objects to interact with, and they started becoming real things other people could see. 
Skills: He's crafty, able to lie and scheme his way out of anything. He's a fast runner, and can easily fight some one twice his size. 

Name: Christopher Wesley
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Christopher has shaggy black hair and greyish blue eyes. He's just a tad taller than average and is usually found wearing some sort of tuque on his head, no matter the weather. He has a voice that carries and doesn't say more than needed, and a thin but slightly muscular figure.

Was where when adults disappeared?: In the car with his mom, driving to the hospital.

Power:
Christopher can heal anything from small cuts to life-threatening injuries. Before the FAYZ he was never really interested in first aid, no more than the next person.

Background:
Christopher grew up a bit north from Perdido Beach with his parents right near the beach water, spending most of his weekends waking up early in the morning to cruse the beach and sand dunes with his motorcycle-obsessed dad. His nights were spent staying up late reading, with no shortage of books from his librarian mom. He attended Pedido Beach school for elementary and then Coats Academy for middle school as his mom wanted him to have a better education, but then ended up being schooled on a computer program for freshman year of highschool when it was found out his mom was having an affair with one of his teachers. This created a distance between Chris’ father and his mom, who was basically living at the library when his dad had an accident on his motorcycle, which Christopher blames his mom for.

Skills:
Due to his dad's aforementioned obsession with motorcycles Christopher was riding on the back of his dad's bike since before he could walk, and after that he was riding his own bike. Christopher was also taught by his dad to drive, and is good at fixing things and figuring things out from reading all the time.

yey! now the FAYZ has a healer! otherwise we'd all be pretty screwed...

Hmm... So we have a precog, a healer, a learner, an illusionist, a hider, two non-moofs, an animator, a density controller, an elemental, a whisperer, and an alchemist.

Sounds pretty good to me. But not everybody's active, so... hum.

I kinda want to make a prophecy. Yes, no?

Yep, basically. That's what precogs are; they see the future in different ways. The GONE series' precog was Astrid, since she could symbolically see the future... ((going off the wikia here XD))
