Were you surprised to learn that supplements can be harmful? After reading chapter 13 are you going to start taking (or stop taking) certain supplements?

Roxanne V (RoxanneV) | 15 comments When I started to be plant-based, I decided to eat whole foods, not man made stuff like pills/supplements and even powders like "protein shakes" etc... If it's not a plant, I won't touch it anymore.

Diane | 10 comments Good move. I think it is so deeply ingrained in our culture that plants are not enough that some of us (me) think there MUST be something else that you're going to need. Very grateful to have the examples of others!

Beth | 3 comments Prior to my diet becoming plant-based I took a "super mega multi-vitamin/mineral" daily. Now I take a very basic (minimal) multi-vitamin/mineral. I think I have a ways to go with my vegetable intake so I'm not yet comfortable with no supplement. I cut my calcium supplement to 200 mg 3 times daily. Again, not yet comfortable with idea of no supplementation as I am menopausal and in my late 40's.
