Here's a link to a site where they have them in bundles. I don't know if it's cheaper but you can check them out.

Hi Kate! Welcome to the group! My downfall is that 1 click button to purchase on Amazon for the Kindle. I push it repeatedly...daily!! Roarke is worth it! lol

message 455: by Susan (new)

Susan Rourke is worth just about anything!!!

message 456: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Yes he is! *sigh*

message 457: by Cate (new)

Cate (catemb) | 76 comments Thank you Jonetta! I will definitely look into that.

I concur with you Sandra... The one click button is a curse as well as a blessing! Lol

message 458: by Susan (new)

Susan ....and it knows things. I did not have to tell it that I got a new Android tablet. It just knew!!!

message 459: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Oh, I'm in love with "one-click," even if my wallet isn't:)

message 460: by Cate (new)

Cate (catemb) | 76 comments And my kindle knows me only too well... Suggesting me the next instalments constantly... How could anyone resist?!

message 461: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Oh that wicked Kindle...so suggestive...how's a girl suppose to resist?! I don't even pretend to try anymore...just "click" and pick up my Kindle & there it is! I love technology!

message 462: by Cate (new)

Cate (catemb) | 76 comments I just couldn't imagine having to wait for book delivery or having to go to a book shop when finishing one of these books... When I need it, I need it NOW! So yes, thank you technology! ;)

message 463: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Oh, I used to wait days for the mail to bring my book from Amazon or wherever. Or haunt the bookstore waiting for that new release to be shelved...Now, instant gratification! I love it. (Of course, I still love my book stores)

message 464: by [deleted user] (new)

funny, just a few years ago, I was in line for the midnight sales of the Harry Potter series. I miss it. Of course now, I have the anticipatory excitement of when the next JD book will magically appear on my kindle.

message 465: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
LOL...I know what you mean. I don't even know how many pre-orders I have coming this year. Sometimes I forget about one until I open my Kindle and get a nice surprise!

message 466: by Susan (new)

Susan I was more in love with the bookstore than my e books. But you guys are converting me ;)

message 467: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
I have to admit, the first eBook I ever read was Naked in Death. When I finished, you know I was IMMEDIATELY online downloading Glory in Death. And the next day...well, you know how this story ends. I bow to the eReaders.

message 468: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Susan, I love bookstores, too. But, it's really tough to ignore the convenience of instant gratification. I never thought I'd give up my physical books but....

message 469: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Amen..so do I!

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
BTW, wrong thread, I know, but I'm having a hard time getting into the audibles. That voice "reading" in my head throws me bigtime. I'm so used to "hearing" the character's voice as I read & imagine it, the narrator is messing up the story for me. Not sure I'll ever get used to it.

message 471: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Sandra, it is so weird that you bring this up! See my post in our promotions topic.

message 472: by Susan (new)

Susan I can't do audio books at all. Something about the way my brain is wired...I don't retain things unless I read them.

message 473: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Aah, so you're a visual person.

message 474: by Susan (new)

Susan Yes, if you want me to remember something. It has to be in writing. Gets me in trouble all the time!

message 475: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
I'm a visual person too. But especially with books, I have the characters physical appearances in my head and also their voices. I know this reader in the audio is good, it is just ruining the story for me.

I'm switching to Promotions to check it out, Jonetta.

message 476: by [deleted user] (new)

I get it Susan. I can see handwriting like someone's phone number, and recall it perfectly. Tell me your number and I will probably write it incorrectly. :)

message 477: by Cate (last edited Jul 15, 2013 10:10AM) (new)

Cate (catemb) | 76 comments I was worried it would be the same for me (audio books) as I have always been very visual. However, I gave it a try with the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon and found myself really enjoying it! It brought up a different aspect of the characters ( I.e. how they speak). I might give it a try for this series too, once I am down buying all the books!! One addiction at a time, please... ;)

I also still buy "real" books, but the Kindle is a life saver when it comes to addiction... lol

message 478: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments I am just the opposite from most of you...if I hear something, I always remember better. Except when I was in college, then I had to listen and write it down lol.

message 479: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
I'm a combination of both, depending on the speaker and the writer. My best grades came from extraordinary teachers so I imagine I'm more of an auditory learner.

message 480: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
I do both too, actually. But for some reason, the voice reading these books to me really distracts me. Maybe I'll get used to it. It would really be nice to get some things done while listening to the books.

message 481: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 3250 comments Starshine, there are a few that I do not like. Somewhere in the middle, which I am told are the first ones she recorded. If it seems like she is just straight reading, those are the ones when she had not gotten character voices down yet.

message 482: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
I had heard that but I started over at the beginning with audios. I know she's supposed to be good so I'm guessing it's just me. I'll keep trying to overcome that because it is so convenient. If it just doesn't happen for me, I'll continue to enjoy the books on Kindle & paperback!

message 483: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jenny-g) I like listening to them as it helps my addiction! lol. I can listen almost anywhere, (cleaning, driving, shopping, bike riding) but you can only read at certain times.

message 484: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Price | 7 comments hi, i'm natalie. i discovered jd robb as a pseudonym for nora roberts a few years ago and never looked back. I started with a few current editions and then started back at the beginning. I'm about to start Purity in Death (16?). I generally read 3 or 4 before I trade off to another author or genre. But I love these books and enjoy coming back. I don't know what I'll do when I've finished them all!

message 485: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Welcome, Natalie! That's a good way to work through the series but don't be surprised if later that number increases to 5 or 6 at a time:)

message 486: by Susan (new)

Susan Hi Natalie! Welcome to the group. Wait till you get to the end.........withdrawals!!!

Hi Natalie...Welcome aboard! I'm the very same way...I read a few then switch off to something else and then right back again. As long as JD Robb/Nora keeps writing them, we'll always have another one to look forward to!

I find the NR/Robb books to be such a familiar friend, I can easily pick one up and start over from the very beginning. and at the risk of sounding sappy, it is like the Judy Collins lyric "Open the door and come on in. I'm so gla to see you my friend."

message 494: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Agreed, Chef. I've read Nora's books over & over & over again...I can always go back and pick them up again, and do so often. I find myself doing that now when I need a break from some of the other books I'm reading. You can always depend on an old friend...

funny Chef. So many books, so little time.

I really do read a whole lot of other authors, like Nora Roberts. ;)

message 497: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Lol...We all do, I'm sure. She'll remain our favorite both as Nora Roberts & as J D Robb. I hit some used bookstores today and added to my In Death collection big time...CHEAP!

message 498: by Temple (new)

Temple (templecameron) | 16 comments I was in the grocery store last night and saw Nora's newest dual book available. I apologize, can't remember the name it is published under but it is the story of Seth Bannion and then the sequel about his neice Ruth and Davidov. The theme is ballet. I stood there and read the ending on both of them and just remembered how much I love her books.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
Reflections and Dreams containing both stories: Reflections and Dance of Dreams - I think is the one...I love, love, love both of these stories.

message 500: by Bonni (new)

Bonni Love those stories! I read them after the Stanislaski stories (i think that's how u spell it) and I was like..I know Davidov! I like how Nora connects some of her stories just with a character. It makes me want to reacquaint myself with the story.
