New Members, Please Introduce Yourself

I'll take a hybrid of Roarke/Truheart/Jamie ;) Roarke's edge and most of his looks,Jamie's moxie and Truheart's heart and promise."
Not hardly. No matter what I did to myself to make me look good I would still have a horrible inferiority complex being with a younger man. I would rather it be the other way around. I don't know if I remember the quote exactly, but I would rather be an old man's darling then a young man's slave.

Ya know, reading Roberts/Robb give me an non-idealistic image of what a man should be. No wonder I'm so picky! lol.

Welcome to the group, Paula! We have many members here who also listen to the books. Enjoy!
Welcome, Amber! If you check out our polls, you'll see that you've got a lot of company ere in re-reading this series. I know I have at least three times:)

Welcome, Jessica! We're glad your friends introduced you to this series and enjoy your journey through to the end.

THANKS!

Definitely start with the first one!! That way you'll get the characters better and you won't be looking at the page later on in the series and go "what are they talking about?".....they are a great read, enjoy!

just a bit about me. My name is Bianca. Many call me Binkie or Binks. I live and work in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and i have been a fan of the In Death series for a while now.I was given the 3rd in the series to read by a co worker and read it in a day and a half. Hi all I'm Amiee,
Started to read the in death series around six years ago when I was in my first year of college and I did a lot of travelling to and from college.
Stopped reading them around 18 for some reason, just got an iPad recently and my reading has just shot back up so am rereading and loving these books. Am really looking forward to catching up on the monstrous book list that this series alone is :)

I've read straight through the series twice - once about 7 years ago (obviously there were fewer then!), and again earlier this year, when "New York to Dallas" came out. It gave me a new appreciation for the character development through the series. I'm looking forward to the next one!

First of all, welcome to the group and this wonderful series. Most of us recommend you read the books in order, beginning with Naked in Death. So, you might let that be the first book you download to your new Kindle Fire (it's easier than you think).
Here's a link to the most comprehensive site developed for this series. This page provides an overview of the series, which I don't consider scary. It's more mystery and police procedurals with a bit of romance.

Now, we maintain the book list here so you won't need to write it down. Here's the link to our book list.

Welcome, Betty, and it's never too late to join the party! I only discovered the series about two years ago so we're in the same boat. Lucky you to have these books in front of you.
About the novellas, have you searched for the anthology titles they were originally released in?

You may want to follow our book list as it has the name of the novella and the anthology in which it was originally issued.

Hearty welcome, Carolyn! Lucky you to have gotten back on track to read the series in order. I must confess that I've read series three times, too. We look forward to you participating in our discussions.

And also...Roarke. Hotness.
Welcome, Sarah! Better late than never in starting and don't let the number of books in the series scare you:) Be sure to check out our Book List to make sure you read the books and the novellas in order.

Welcome, Betty! I discovered Nora Roberts AFTER having read this series. Where are you in the series?

my name is Maria or Mary(it's the same)and I'm from Greece.
I've just joined the group, but I've been reading the In death series for a few months now.My godmother gave me Naked In Death a year ago,but I picked it from my bookshelf to read it only a few months ago and I'm totally hooked in the series since then... I'm reading the books in order, as I'm a huge "order maniac" according to my friends and got all of them in either paperbacks or pdf in my pc.Yesterday I finished Betrayal In Death and I am about to start Interlude In Death.
I am looking forward to chatting with you and I just hope I have enough time to do so without having school and stuff taking all my free time....
Welcome to the group, Maria! There are quite a few of us "order maniacs" here so you're among friends:)
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Welcome, Mandy! Looks like you're just getting started. Please, enjoy the journey because it's less fun waiting for the new book's release:)

My name is Amber and I am an 'In Death' addict. One of my girlfriends told me to read "Naked in Death" when I asked for book recommendations. 45 books later... LOL. I read the whole series (with the exception of the one that came out last week) for the past couple of months. I'm totally enthralled.
About me; I'm 30 and have one tiny tot (almost a year and a half) and I'm an East Coast transplant from the Midwest. I love, love, love to read. I always look into new recommendations. I'm in the middle of wedding planning central, and some days I wonder if I'll have a shred of sanity left at the end of the day. (Yet, I wouldn't change a thing!)
I'm so glad I've found this little group. I can't wait to get into the discussions of some of my favorite characters! Thank you so much for having me!
