Hi. I'm Katie. I've read all the In Death books and am currently reading the new release Forgotten In Death. This world and characters are just magical. Their growth and personalities are just what I enjoy about reading. I've been wanting to do a reread for ages but I am trying, and mostly succeeding, in keeping my goal of not doing rereads for a while. It is so hard though! This genre is not my typical go to but I have always loved CSI or Bones type tv shows. Though this is WAY better. Urban and Paranormal Fantasy are my usual genres of choice. It will be great discussing this series with other fans.

Welcome Katie! Glad you found us as we all love the In Death series. I've reread the entire series 3 times and various books numerous times. It's an addiction! lol

Hi Luffy here. I'm surprised at the dominance of the female gender over here as the one most responsible for making a dabbler in the In Death series is a guy.

I live on a small island called Mauritius. I am going to read Abandoned in Death soon. I like some of the books and I'm afraid to say that I dislike some. Hope to know more about what the new and longtime fans think of this series.

I had to look up Mauritius. The beaches are beautiful. I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida. We have beautiful beaches, but they don't compare to the pictures of your island. Is the water still so clear?

The water is clear where the recentish oil spill has not spread. The beaches of Florida are world class but I'm glad you rate ours enough. Our country is nice enough for the locals, and very welcoming to tourists and visitors of most types. Thank you for inquiring.

Ha! The more I read of female authors, the more I am a fan. I gave up on a lot of male authors after DNFing a Thomas Harris book.

As far as I know, the group is open for any discussions about all aspects of the books we read as a group or individually. You will see we have a wide range of opinions good and bad. As long as members are courteous, I haven't seen anyone discouraged from participating.

Don't feel alone, I too am a male, and the multiple reasons I have for being in this series is because of my mom being a fan, me being an anime fan, and finally it's because this series has similarities to Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell and I've been a fan both of those movies for a long time.

I'm M. E. Logan and have just discovered J. D. Robb in the last two years. Needless to say, I'm haven't been able to read all the books, and while I'm trying, I'm not able to read them in order. In the latest one I've read, Secrets in Death, there's mention when Summerset breaking his leg. I don't recall reading that, but as I said, I haven't read them all. What book did that happen in?

Highly encourage you to attempt to read the books in order as there’s only one month in elapsed time between books and there’s significant character development progression in the first 25 books. It’s how you experience the magic of the series.

Hi M. E.! Welcome aboard! I have to agree with Jonetta about reading this series in order. The character development is HUGE from book to book. As is the introduction of new characters that continue on to play different roles. Hope you enjoy the group!
