It will get me more points in another challenge that I am in. :)

For the other challenge you should check their rules, cause they might be different.

Hope everyone has a great week!

I have been on this type of book kick. I read fifty shades and loved it and wanted more. GR recommended it to me and it fit what I was looking for. I think I might read The Siren next.

I just read that one also last week :) I have the next pre ordered on amazon. I even read

Hi, Emily. If this is your RRR post, could ya add a bit more to your review, please? Thanks!
Speaking of reviews, I need to post mine for '2011'! And, I've started Bad Blood for my 'magic' book. I'm 15% in, but have had little book-time. Hopefully I won't fall too far behind the team.
I've read all of Tiffany Reisz Original Sinners books (#1: The Siren) and LOVED them. I cannot stress enough (1) how NOT like 50 Shades they are and (2) how much I love them! Hope you enjoy it also, Emily.
Hope everyone's having a great week!

Flesh and Blood by Kristen Painter

Shelf: 2011
Rating:3.5 of 5 stars
Review:
Flesh and Blood, the 2nd book in House of Comarré, picks up shortly after Blood Rights left off. Malkolm helped Chrysabelle, but she's not yet ready to return the favor. She's given her word though, so he's trying to be patient. She's dealing with the recent changes and surprise revelations, but she hasn't forgotten her promise to help Mal find a way to lift his curse.
With the covenant (veil between othernaturals and humans) gone, "Paradise City was only beginning to wake up to the new reality the whole world now faced". More and more people are noticing odd things. Fringe vamps are getting killed, but no one is quite sure who's doing the killin'.
New character = Love triangle?? Noooooo. The constant POV changes throughout the book are at times frustrating. But, I'm enjoying the series-read and have started #3, Bad Blood, which is on the 'magic' shelf.

Continue Series? Yes
I actually liked this book a lot!
Tayla is a girl who is looking for what she really wants to do in her life and looking for her true self. She is unsure what is really making her sick and lose all loss of feeling and ability to move. While fighting demons one day she woke up to find herself in a demon hospital with a Eidolon treating her. Unfortunately Eidolon is a demon, but her sexual desires are doing nothing but drawing her toward him..
I liked Tayla and her battle to find herself. I also like how Eidolon found his mate in the least likely of species (human). It is nice to see a difference in the both of their characters after they learn to grow with one another. I am excited to see how this series continues.

I'm moving right along with my 'magic' shelf read. Hope everyone's having a good week. Shelf announcement coming up in several days! What's it gonna be??? ;)

Fun! Hope you had a great time, Sara. I always get chomped on by buggies and look like I'm wearing a polka-dot suit. LOL!
Sorry, Slayers, but our FINAL shelf announcement is up ('psychic') and it's not a win for us.
It's a winning shelf for THREE teams ~ The Dirty Dozen, The Clever Coven, and Ferociously Flirtatious. Maybe next round! I hope you'll all be there!
I am off to check the shelf and make my selection. BRB ...

I am 1/2 way through my 'magic' book and will share my review here once finished. I may or may not read/review a 'psychic' book, depends on how active everyone still is when I get to it.
Hope to see ya'll in R6.

Review: To avoid story spoilers, I'll just chat about my overall thoughts.
I really love the world that Kristen has created with this series. The Comarré and all of the different supernaturals (or othernaturals, as she calls them) are all very cool. I like all of the characters. The problem is that she seems to be trying to make every character a main character. Ya just can't do that. LOL! Strong supporting characters, yes. She also writes all of the books with an alternating POV throughout. This was fun initially b/c I LOVE getting the dudes' POVs, but damn. By book 3, I'm over it and it's kinda frustrating b/c RIGHT when things are gettin' good she changes POV. Also, there were a bazillion POVs in this one (example of trying to make everyone a main character). Not everyone rates a POV chapter, IMO.
Nevertheless, I'm diggin' the series and really enjoyed being able to read all three in a row for BSB. Got lucky w/that. I'll definitely be continuing with the series; I'm looking forward to the next book, Out for Blood, due in Oct.
