S.L.J. Am I the only one that is really hoping that Bloodlines doesn't fall into the same mess that VA did with its vanishing plots and characters?

Examples:

After Shadow Kiss I was sure we were going to find out how/why the Strigoi were mobalizing.
Result: Nothing.
After Blood Promise I was sure that Dimitri's family were going to be important.
Result: Nothing.
After Last Sacrifice I was sure that Ian, Robert Doru and Tasha Ozera would be major players in the Bloodlines series. I was sure that Rose and Dimitri would have to own up for their betreyal of Adrian. I was sure Adrian's mom and the origins of the Royal familes would come into question because, you know, it's called 'Bloodlines'! Or, God forbid, we get a little more about the rebellion in the Moroi court.
Result: Nothing.

Am I the only one thinking...WTF?!

Where the hell did all these things go?!

♥ Alexia -Team Malec ♥ I liked this book, and Adrians Mum is mentioned in this book-But not really anything else than just mentioned. i would have liked Tasha in this book, But remember-She died. Well, she must have-because she killed the queen! And i hoped Adrian would get an apology, too.

They never said anything about Tasha being killed. Apprently Christian was allowed to go and see her after see was arrested.

♥ Alexia -Team Malec ♥ Yeah, But that's what they were going to do to Rose-Why not Tasha?

I don't think Lissa could order anyones exicution.

♥ Alexia -Team Malec ♥ Oh, I didn't know she was in charge.
and it was her boyfriends' aunt, after all. that wouldn't go down well with Christian...

S.L.J. LOL. Yeah. "I'm putting your aunt in front of a firing squad. Happy anniversary sweetie!" :P

Mikaela hang on- i forgot what did Daniella Ivashkov do again?

She stole a bunch of files to help cover up Jill's true identity.

Oh, finally someone who pays attention to the stuff going on in the background of the VA series. I share your disappointment but unfortunately, not following through with her own plot lines is something Richelle does all too often. So yeah, I'm afraid she will do it again in Bloodlines.
I was hoping that the issues you mentioned would be addressed in the spin-off, but I see Richelle deviating the story too much from the original conflicts at Court, so I doubt they will get addressed now.

:( Poor plot-lines. Now I feel bad for them...

Julianna Well Tasha was in jail, but it would have been nice to have Ian there. The last sentence of Bloodlines had Dimitri show up at Adrian's (I think, or some other place but either way a confrontation was looming) so that'll probably be in the next book. Daniella is serving five years in prison for bribery so not much action there. I think the bloodlines part comes from Jill and the Dragomir lineage, which was part of the conflict in Court. If she had been killed then Lissa would've lost the throne and reforms wouldn't happen.

Um. . . She's queen? I think that may mean she's in charge :)

Halyna I don't think Rose and Dimitri should be punished because of Adrian - it's not like Rose was married to him - Dimitri was the first and she told Adrian, that she would give him a chance, but didn't promise him forever. Adrian should know better, than to go between such a strong love.
As for Tasha - I hope she is dead! She is a killer, and liar, and a very bad person. If Dimitri was a real man, he would kill her himself for hurting Rose.

I don't think they should be punished but how would you feel if you were dating someone and they cheated on you. It doesn't matter that Dimitri and Rose were in love, she should have broken up with Adrian before she slept with Dimitri

I think punished is not the correct word I would use. I would like to see more people acknowledging that Rose and Dimitri are not perfect. Everyone in VA put those two in a pedestal, especially Dimitri. The only person who actually told Rose off was Adrian and rightfully so. Jillian doesn't like Rose either by proxy. But that is pretty much it.
I didn't expect to see a confrontation between Adrian and Dimitri in TGL, to be honest. It's not Richelle's style. If you read Shadow Heir you know what I mean (Eugenie had way more cause to claw Kiyo's eyes out and she actually indulged in civilized conversation with the man. It was crazy.)

Julianna Punished? By who, the Guardian committee? Relationships aren't really their priority. But yeah, I think a scene where Rose says how much she regrets hurting Adrian to maybe Dimtri or Lissa would have been nice.

Stephanie I wanted to know more about how Dimitri felt about Tasha's actions towards Rose. Did he ever say anything to her she almost killed Rose? How did he feel knowing she did all THIS: almost killing Rose when she shot her, almost causing Rose to be executed for a crime SHE (Tasha) commited herself, did kill the Moroi Queen, just so she could have him. Since they were originally pretty good friends how did this betrayal effect him??

And also I've always wanted to know more about what did happen to Tasha after the truth came out. I mean if execution was the sentence Rose would have received wouldn't Tasha also?? But could Lissa actually allow that to happen considering she's Christain's Aunt and with her being the Queen now and having the power to stop it? But also how would that effect her tenuous image as the new queen especially considering the controversy around her new title and place in the Moroi political world.

Just stuff I've always wondered about...

Celeste Totally! *Hair flip*

Julianna Stephanie wrote: "I wanted to know more about how Dimitri felt about Tasha's actions towards Rose. Did he ever say anything to her she almost killed Rose? How did he feel knowing she did all THIS: almost killing Ros..."
Yeah I've been thinking through a Dimtri/Tasha confrontation scene. And I think Tasha would have to be executed, no matter the connection she had to Christian. But I think he was pretty astounded when it turned out to be Tasha. he said something like "How could you?" and something about the family.

S.L.J. Nothing has been mentioned about Tasha being exicuted so I think she's still alive.

brenda Campbell I think all the issues centered around the title of the book being "Bloodlines" is it's titled that because they are going to explore the concept of sydney going against all she has been taught and groomed to be an alchemist. Possibly her turning her back on the alchemist way for having such deep connections with the moroi and Adrian.I mean, her bloodline is the alchemist and she always has mixed emotions on whether she is becoming to close or letting this get in the way of her doing the job she was put there to do.I also believe her blood will have a huge role in the mystery around the effect it has on the strigoi, and I really feel it will have something to do with her mother in some way.It could be her mothers heritage or if she is actually her fathers daughter.m not sure, I could be way off, it was just the way I saw the storyline going
