Does any other author gets most of their Amazon sales overnight or is it just me?

I do. I think it is just when their software updates.

Also you have to remember sales in other countries, that's what I love about being able to sell at Amazon, their book store never closes.

How long of a turnover in hours is there between the time a sale is made and when it registers on Amazon? Does anyone know?

It really varies, but I think it's at least a couple of hours. I've had a few people tell me in Facebook chat or whatever that they've 'just' bought a book, and it takes a fair time to filter through on the sales report, and even longer to affect the ranking.
