Yeah, I've been WAITING for Bubba to show up!!!

I never heard of Coby Bell before, but after seeing a pic he comes pretty close to Quinn in my mind. I always pictured him with The Rock's body and facial features that are somewhere between Common and Tyson Beckford (I think it's the nose, Tyson has a tigerish nose). Jason Momoa...not sure, I haven't seen him as anything but Khal Drogo, so it's hard for me to picture. Never seen Vin Diesel in anything challenging (acting-wise), not sure if he'd be up to it. (I'm not hating, I love Vin.)

Jason Statham would be an unconventional choice, but it might work really well, if he played it more like The Transporter and less like some of his other roles.

I'm trying to think which actor would really make me hot the way Quinn in the books does - I don't get many celeb crushes now, much prefer written heroes - but all I can get in my head is a beefed up Wentworth Miller. :D (I'm not suggesting him, he's too pretty-boy.)

channing tatum with a bit more muscle? he definitely should be hot.

I hated Quinn!!!! So I don't care who plays him. But I'm with Daphne - I loved Bubba and would love to see him!

I would say Wentworth Miller or Dominic Purcell. Both pretty damn good looking if you ask me.

I've been wanting to see the show since it started, but I've only ever read the books. Now, I'm not so sure I want to see it anymore because I hear that it's beginning to veer so far off the books as to be entirely different now.
I don't know about any of you, but if something is based on book, I'd like it to be as close to the book as possible...

I usually do too, however, I seperate them in my mind as being two different things. :) I like them both equally in their own rights.

Jayne: I didn't know that...seeing as how Harris stated she thought of Vin Diesel when writing the character, and he isn't black, I assumed that meant he was white. However if he is black then I want to see Shemar Moore as Quinn. YUM :)

Yeah after I posted that I thought hmm actually maybe I am completely wrong. haha. Especially since I was then confused about who Quinn was. I think it's time for a reread.

I've looked at pictures of Coby Bell....he's good looking enough but would really have to bulk up.

I don't think his race was ever specified. Violet eyes seem at odds with olive skin, but maybe that's just a tiger thing.

I always pictured him as mixed, or maybe light-skinned black. Although usually when characters are African-American it's mentioned. (Obviously not with the ones like Tara who were changed for the show.)

I think Shemar Moore would be awesome! I'd love to see him doing something with a bit of romance. (And not just so I can see him naked, lol.)

I don't see Sookie romantically with Michael Clark Duncan. He might have made a good Bubba though. I will miss him as an actor.

This is how Quinn is described. Quinn is a large and tall-six and a half feet-muscular man. He has a rich olive skin tone that is lightly scarred from the years of fighting in the ring. He also shaves his head bald and the rest of his body is told to be just as hairless.

To make it better, I just passed the part in book 7 where he is literally dressed like a genie.

I always saw Quinn as a Timothy Olyphant kind of type...

I think only Bruce Willis is cool enough to play Quinn.

when i read the books i pictured Jason Statham (although he seriosuly annoys me!) I think though, Antony Starr would make a good Quinn-if he shaves his head..
