But I must say Vixen is not ala Gossip Girl it is set in the 20's and is about flappers, speak easies, race relations, gangsters, and class distinction its a very good YA historical fiction.

Chris (chrismd) | 50 comments Thanks. I'll download the last two. I listened to Vixen and just hated the story. (The narration was OK.) Hated the plot, hated the characters, thought it made Twilight read like the Great Gatsby.

Gavin | 11 comments Thanks for the link, Vixen and The Chicago Way sound like they could be quite good.

Regan | 138 comments Hmmm...it's set in the 1920s, and reviews say that the characters and relationships are standard teen fare with the typical unusually wealthy protagonists, hence "a la Gossip Girl". Chris' reaction seems typical of a quite a number of the reviews.

I haven't read it, so I suggest people have a look at the reviews and descriptions on their own to see if it's something that will appeal to them. Luckily we have GR for that!
