This is a really good book. The author managed to cover every angle and show many viewpoints on the issue of slavery that existed in English society in the eighteenth century without having to write a huge opus or a boring historical fiction that preaches. Yet, the point is made about the dreadful waste of human lives and potential.

I haven't read this one yet, but your review will put it definitely on my list to read when I find it.
