I never go any where without a book, I go to the movies or to a club and there is a book on my bag, when people look at me like am crazy and ask me WHY?!?!?!?!?! I just shrug and say "you never know what can happen". One of my ultimate dreams is to have the library from the Beauty and the Beast. And because all of my close friends and family members know is best if I go to the bookstore by myself.

First Romance Novel Read (that you can remember): Silken Savage by Catherine Hart – my mom had borrowed it from the library and I snuck it off her bookshelf one weekend and read it two times in a row. I was 13 at the time (I’m 31 now) and remember being absolutely enchanted by it. Now I own a token copy and read it every few years for a laugh because it is that bad!
Favorite Romance Genre: Paranormal or historical, depending on my mood.

Hi Everyone. My name is Sheila and I live in Illinois on the Mississippi River. I am 59, married, mom of 2 , grandma of 2. I very recently retired after 37 years as a respiratory therapist.

My hobbies are quilting, reading and anything techie. I rarely buy books. I am very fortunate that I live only about 2 blocks from our new million $$ library. I have a difficult time reading regular or paperback print so usually order everything either in LP or audio. Our library is in a network with a whole bunch of other libraries so I can usually get what I need delivered to my local libary. I LOVE my library.

I am currently reading 4 books. (My hubby says I am the Queen of Multitasking. I just discovered Goodreads in March and have been busy putting in my book list. (I am only up to the J's). Anyway I look forward to meeting you folks and sharing as well. Bring on the challenges!

I just found Goodreads a few weeks ago and am LOVING it. I am the official "reader" of my family. I look forward to reading every chance I get. I have a natural compulsion to read anything I can get my hands on. What is it about the feel and smell of books that make you act like a pointer dog anyway? I have a lot of work to do to add the books I've read or to-read. I'm just getting started, and am looking forward to participating in some challenges this summer. It's nice to find a website that caters to those who love to consume the written word.

Finished the line: I know I'm a book addict because if I were mugged I'd sacrifice my wallet before my kindle, I'm impossible to talk to after I've started a book, and I'm seriously considering naming my future son after great romantic literary characters (like Lysander and Darcy) as cheesy as they are.

It really is my dream job! I used to work in investments and it was sooo stressful, it's awesome to go into work and actually enjoy it. I love being able to talk to people about books they like and helping them find the next book. The best part is I can read books before they go on shelves and I'm allowed to take out any book I want without paying and then just put it back! It's awesome for those books that I can't get from the library if they are too new.

Gus, I would get nothing done if I worked at a book store. I mean NOTHING! I would be too busy browsing and reading.
