Michelle (michelle0613) | 38 comments I've been wanting to read this book. I'll start it this month if I have the time. Has anyone read it yet? Is it good?

Noor (noor_a) | 102 comments It was okay for me. I mean the plot was good and never slow but I dunno it just wasn't amazing. It was good though! I will be reading the next one.

I loved this book! I hated the main character girl, but I loved the main character guy!!! Ahhh!!!! <3
...
LOL, sorry! ;) But yes, it's a really good book! It's not as good as Divergent, but it has a well written plot line and I love that you got two different perspectives (it's told from the perspective of both the main character girl and guy)!

I agree with Lia except I liked both of the main characters!

Noor (noor_a) | 102 comments Yeah I can't help comparing it to divergent either! And yeah I agree with you lia on the fact that divergent is better

message 7: by Ara (new) - added it

Ara | 1 comments I actually wasn't that impressed with Divergent but I loved Legend. It just seemed like it was taken so much more seriously than most dystopian young adult books. I also liked how it didn't just focus on one thing. It didn't focus on just the romance or just the violence. It was truly about the journey of these young people. For me, I liked June more then I liked Day :)

Winnie G (thebookassassin) | 12 comments LOVE IT! :D
Haha I prefer this book over Divergent. The only thing I didn't like was how Day and June were REALLY similar...
Still have some questions about the society in the book~ Can't wait for the next one to come out!

Kelly i LOVED this book. It was awesome. There was never a dull moment. fast paced. Always in suspense. there was even a little mystery when she started digging up her past and events that had recently happeny (e.g. her brothers death)
I suggest if you haven't read it you should! Great Book

i read last year and i loved it

Rachel (bookwyrmrachel) | 7 comments I finished the book today. I liked it a lot. It was very fast paced. The book was shorter than I'm used to, but I think the author told a complete and concise story. I liked the dystopian society, and I hope that the author will expand on it more in subsequent volumes. I want to know what other places in the country are like, outside of Los Angeles where the story takes place. The dual POVs was interesting and a nice change from other books I've been reading. I liked Day a lot more than June. It was a breath of fresh air that the plot did not completely revolve around the love story for once. Overall I enjoyed the book, but in comparison to Divergent, I still like Divergent much more.

Jessica Li | 3 comments Finished this book in one day!!

Wasn't the greatest YA dystopian I've ever read, but still thoroughly enjoyable and a reminder as to why this genre just works time and time again. Loved both June and Day and how even thought they were born in two completely different worlds they still had so much in common, loved the plot of the story, and the gold font for Day's POV is so unique and pretty that when I first found the book I just HAD to read it.

Looking forward to the future books, but for some reasons now that their whole cat-and-mouse game is over I feel like it's gonna lose what intrigued me in the first place. Hopefully Marie can still bring in some shocking twists and turns because other wise I have a feeling this book'll just turn into a carbon copy of every other dystopian fiction out there. Not to say it won't be enjoyable, but I just want it to maintain it's specialness!

Does anyone else feel this way??

IT WAS GR8

Jojobean I loved this book. I loved how Day and June were thrown together and two completely different people fell in love. I loved the action. June was kick ass and I loved how Day was just an ordinary kid but he was public enemy number 1. It was amazing

Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1589 comments I'm currently reading Legend and so far it is great. Thus far I enjoy Junes POV the most. I really like her sarcasm and I really like her spirit. Day is great too, but right now I'm not as engaged with his POV.

Andrew | 1 comments I'm still reading it. It's pretty good.

Brooke Hutchins | 11 comments It was okay for me too. I still have to write a review for it. The plot at times didn't make sense. Like one minute they were all jacked up on wanting June to find Day and yet they didn't want to waste any money on securing her back up? And, then how can June be that perfect? I mean she's only 15? She has to be developing some of her skills. Can she really reach her peak at 15?

Also, both of the characters seemed to retain such harsh injuries and yet, still do action packed stuff against all odds! I mean where are the flaws!? Flaws are beautiful too!

jeri (jerinow) I can't believe I haven't read this yet T-T I'm missing all the fun :((

Andrew | 1 comments I haven't commented in a while. I have read the book. I thought it was pretty good. Now I need to read the 2nd book!

William (throneoffandoms) | 60 comments I loved this book to death. It was better than i thought it would be.

SashaSay | 5 comments It took me a couple of days to get through the first couple of chapters but then somewhere near the middle, I was drawn in and couldn't put the book down... The ending to the book had me all teary eyed. The book wasn't just a love story between June and Day, there was also a beautiful depiction of the love in a family. June and Metias, Day and his brothers, Tess-Day-June. Also the rebellion, the action was nice. I loved it! I can't wait to start on Prodigy :D

Sharon Mariampillai | 2 comments June is such a badass!! I loved every single minute of it!!! Brilliant!! Can't wait to read Prodigy and Champion!!!

message 23: by Mary (new)

Mary Martin OMG! I read it six months ago and I still haven't gotten over it! Is this normal?? I cried soooo much, I was literally shaking!! This series has changed me... I LOVE IT!!!!

Catherine H (catherinexreads) Legend= life

Janna (mzhyde) | 470 comments I finished this book yesterday and I loooooved it! It's fast paced, the characters are very interesting and I just couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Saniya LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE <3

message 31: by cc (new) - rated it 3 stars

cc (caitlinisakittycat) Very disappointing. Especially since it was compared to the Hunger Games & it wasn't even playing in the same athletic arena.

I didn't believe the characters, the relationships, or world. It was a fun read, just nothing spectacular.

I want to read on, but I'm not willing to spend money on it.

Nicola I just started reading this today. I've been looking forward to it as I've heard so much about it. Hoping it's good!

Krista | 97 comments I really liked this book. It was fast pased and I didn't feel like there was any down time. I can't pin point why I didn't "love" it. But it was a very enjoyable read and I can't wait to get the next one.

Trinity Dech (trin_dech) | 13 comments I read this last year and as soon as day was introduced I was hooked! His Character was amazing! And June just added on and made it even better!

Lauraeimre | 49 comments The beginning of this book was a little bit slow. But the rest of the book I read pretty quickly. It made me want to continue this series. Actually I only bought this book because the new hardcover was 2 dollars :D

Nicole (nics2) | 44 comments @Lauraeimre Wow... That's really cheap !

I loved this trilogy ! It was a fast and fun reading

Nikki (NikkisNook) | 16 comments I really enjoyed reading Legend. It was fast-paced, well written, and I loved the main characters, especially Day.

Mariam | 32 comments I love Day and June but Day more.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 126 comments It was a weird series for me. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. It was "Okay" for me. But while saying all that, I loved the writing style in general and it left me really wanting to read more Marie Lu stuff.

Now I'm reading the first book in her Young Elites series and really, really liking it.

message 40: by Siya (new)

Siya (siyak_) I really want to read this too but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet. I'm trying to read books I already have first before buying more. I'm really anxious to read this.

message 41: by Raksha (new) - added it

Raksha R I think it was an okay book. I didn't really love it and it didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. It wasn't bad though, just not my cup of tea.

Ravenstar897 | 4 comments I love this series! I never shed tears for books, but with the plot-twisting ending at the end, I couldn't help myself. One of my favorite books, I love how well written this story is and how interesting these characters are. No wonder I read the whole trilogy in a day ;).

message 43: by Giulia (new)

Giulia | 8 comments I loved Legend! Day is probably my favourite male character of all the dystopian books I have read. I had mixed feelings about June at times. Loved the ending. Overall I loved this series and would totally recommend it! I would love to see the movies but I think they won't happen...

Reagan Conger A few years ago 2 of my classmates would talk nonstop about Legend. They raved about how good it was, so I decided to read it for myself. I instantly fell in love with the characters and the story. I absolutely LOVEEE June and Day. Wowowowow I don’t think I’ve ever shipped 2 characters more than I ship them. The story is so interesting and it is so easy to fall in love with.

●Gina● (geniesurreal) I absolutely adore Legend and its series. I've read it a few years ago so many of it's attributes are lost in memory but I do know I loved it!
There is a 4th book out called Rebel I can't wait to read. From what I understand from the summary June and Day may become a team once again! That would be so amazing to see! They deserve happiness after all they've been through.

Sylvia Rhett (sylviarhett) | 26 comments I really loved this series. Especially Day. He's my darling hero. I nearly had a heart attack when the trilogy ended with such a turn and when I found out there's another book, my relief was immense.
