What did you think of her?

Jojobean I liked her alot. I liked how she went from being one of the governments prodigies to becoming one of the country's most wanted with Day. I liked how she realized how phony and corrupt her government was and was proud that she wanted out instead of succumbing to it.

Mary Acuña (maryecaa) I love her. She's amazing. She's so smart, and brave, and composed. She's one of my favorite heroines.

Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1589 comments So far I love June! She is so smart and just awesome! I love her relationship with Day :) they better get together!!!!

message 5: by Ju (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ju (wraithlair) I love June's deduction skills so much! She's like a Sherlock Holmes in her world and she's also so badass and brave. She's very surreal but at the same time, she's very human because she does get confused at times and questions herself often.

-RininTa- (rinz) | 103 comments I really love June! She's very smart and one of my favorite. I like how she handles the problems around her, how she thinks and acts. She and Day are really match couple.

J.R. Dawson | 13 comments Okay, I do have a one thing to say about June. She is supposed to be a prodigy, no? She is supposed to be the smartest, er, one of the smartest kids ever. Yet she goes into the slums to capture Day, meets a boy who purposefully won't tell her his name, and she accepts it. She goes along with it. Really?

Stormy :) (Stormy0218) | 1589 comments Yeah, that part was a bit incredulous to me, some parts of June's character and perceptiveness were a bit unrealistic.

chinami | 126 comments she is realistic and fictional at the same time. i like her.

message 10: by cc (new) - rated it 3 stars

cc (caitlinisakittycat) I'm sorry to say I'm not 100% sold on June. I never got to know her & she comes off as a bit too perfect. She's rich, gorgeous, fit, smart, strong, loyal, loving, dedicated... are characters not supposed to have flaws anymore? I mean, at least Day hinted at a bit of a man-whore streak. June, though, was absolutely perfect in every way... although, apparently, slightly less intelligent than we were led to believe when it comes to identifying Day. I'm sorry to say, June was my least favorite character in the book because I never felt like I really got to know her.

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I love June! She is one of my favorite kick-ass heroines

message 12: by Abby (new) - rated it 5 stars

Abby (bookishab) | 6 comments I wasn't her fan on the first book but boy did I came to admire her in Prodigy. Just like what everybody said, she's naturally strong and also a very realistic character. I love her as as individual and I love her as Day's partner. I like her vulnerability and how she handles her weaknesses.

MysticMemories I thought she was a little pretentious at first, but as the series went on, I enjoyed her character more and more. I don't want to give any spoilers, but her relationship is so sweet with --- and I just want to hug both of them! In champion she is really brave.

Chelsea B | 179 comments I agree with a lot of people, I didn't like her at first, as the series went on, I began to like her. I loved how Day and June were opposites, but they were alike in a lot of ways too!

Amy (amystorn) | 3 comments FourteenRedRoses wrote: "I liked June because she wasn't a typical young adult heroine. She didn't start off weak then get stronger as the novel progressed. She was strong throughout the entirety of the book but learned to..."

I agree--I think this was my favorite aspect of June. I am a little tired of the character arc of heroines finding their inner strength and this softening was the most compelling part of her as a character growth for me.

Aisya Raisya (aisyaraisya) | 63 comments I love her. She's so smart, I love how she act and think. she's not be the women that falling in love so easily and act weak and stupid because of love, she's the opposite

message 17: by Riya (new) - rated it 5 stars

Riya She's honestly awesome!!! She's consistently strong and was the perfect person for Day since they're so similar yet different. She allowed herself to be emotional, but never got to a point where she was weak or unlike the original character she started off as (although she did of course grow a ton throughout the series!)

Yanery | 4 comments She reminded me a lot of me at some points, a person who is quite goal oriented at first but then she gets a lot more human. She's also so powerful and I love that we get to see a great female character! I also love that like Tris and Four. June and Day make each other stronger.

Kinga (xzellaz) | 25 comments Strong character and I loved her. She sees the danger and chooses what's good. Her love for Mathias drives her into the outside and I find it necessary that she was the one to meet Day. She needed him as much as he needed her. But not in the wrong way.

message 20: by Jesikah (last edited Feb 26, 2014 08:32AM) (new)

Jesikah Sundin (jesikahsundin) | 7 comments I found her character refreshing because she is a tad unlikable, but that unlikable characteristic makes her likable in the end. It makes her human. Real. She is logical to the point of denying herself, and those around her, honest emotion. As the series progresses she learns the balance of being logical and being honest emotionally. She can have brains AND have a heart. She can be dutiful to her country AND to those she loves. These qualities and her character arc make June one of my all time favorite heroines.

William (throneoffandoms) | 60 comments I really really liked her and with Day. The ending was so sad in Champion for her...

Ellyonna | 7 comments I thought the ending to Champion was heart breaking, do you think they ended up together in the end?

Geordan (saundgeo) | -14 comments Even though the ending broke my heart it was the best and most expected ending. Which is what we need now a days.

Geordan (saundgeo) | -14 comments Unexpected srry

Jenny (09jenny) June is one of my favorite characters! She's just so smart and brave

Halima (hallie27) | 18 comments Okay I love June. But I don't like her decision at the end of Champion

Frank-Intergalactic Bookdragon (intergalacticbookdragon) Whenever people talk about dystopian heroines they usually talk about Katniss and I'm here like "June is queen". I could see her reasoning for giving up Day and I think the ending did a good job of being sad yet also happy. I think it's one of the marks of a Marie Lu finale that her endings are bittersweet (if you've read The Midnight Star you understand)

Dalia | 183 comments She’s coooooool

Martina (maria_martina) she's so cool and smart. imagine being an agent at 15 woahhhh
