Whhy did Emily think Liz looked farmiliar?



Wow I never thought about it in that way


In the part of the book that likes sums it all up, although it's not really a summary, it says you can visit a gallery of Picasso's new art. At the time that the book was written, wouldn't Picasso either be really young at that point, or maybe even already reborn?

Emily sees herself at a younger age in Liz. In other words, Emily is reminded of herself.
