Kara (karaayako) | 3984 comments It's that time! Please add your nomination for our August Group Read. The theme for August is first in a series. I know lots of people here have tons of series on their TBRs--now's your chance!

Please nominate only one book. You can second someone else's nomination, but that will count as your own.

Nominations will close on July 11th. Ten books will be chosen for the poll. If more than ten books are nominated, we'll choose the ten most nominated. If there is a tie to get into the top ten, we'll go by their Goodreads average rating.

Nathan (nthnlwly) The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness looks pretty interesting. I'll nominate it.

This book rocks! One of the best I've read so far this year :)

I have both Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White and The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness on my tbr ..."

They're all really great nominations, I'd read any! I've had Divergent since it came out, ya know, I really should read it, eh?

Holly Diem Trevor wrote: "The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness looks pretty interesting. I'll nominate it." I am confused, do we nominate a book we have read or one we want to read? Either way, I am reading this book right now and this book is a pager turner.

Holly Diem I second or thirdly nominate this book...

Nathan (nthnlwly) You can nominate anything, G! I haven't read The Knife of Never Letting Go, it's just on my to-read list. But a few months ago I nominated a book I'd already read. It just has to fit the theme.

Holly Diem Thanks Trevor. And I just realized I seconded without giving the book...I second The Knife of Never Letting Go.

message 14: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline | 1 comments I'll follow Trevor's nomination. The series Chaos is on my TBR list and The knife of Never Letting Go is now available at my library which is a bonus!

I will second A Game Of Thrones.

Carrie (carrie_s) | 130 comments I'd like to nominate The 42nd Parallel by John Dos Passos . It's the first book in a trilogy by John Dos Passos called the U.S.A. Trilogy. It seems like a bit of a departure from the other books nominated, and has been on my mental TBR list f0r a while now.
