What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

All I can remember is that there were a family, maybe 3 or 4 kids, who were either lost, or running away looking for their new home.

I remember they walk along the freeway, and they sleep wherever they can find. One time they slept in a park and I can remember one of the siblings going and getting food somehow.

I remember there was a gas station or just one little market and the little brother really wanted a drink but they didn't have enough money.

That's all I remember!
