Robin | 263 comments I finished my first book for this challenege :)

B Task: Read a book that has a predominantly BLUE cover, or the word blue in the title.
- Count 5 points if your book has both the cover and title requirement.
- Keeping with B, your book must be a book (not audiobook or ebook).
- Count 5 points if the theme is betrayal.

Blue: real book
Three to Get Deadly (Stephanie Plum, #3) by Janet Evanovich

20 points for first book in challenge
0 points for cover and title requirement
3 points for 321 pgs
5 points for theme of betrayal
2 points for betrayal as partial theme
---
25 points total

I gave myself only partial credit for the betrayal points, because there was some degree of betrayal that happened, but it wasn't a primary theme, at least I wouldn't say so...

Next up on my reading list is either Frankenstein for the monthly group theme read or the girl power challenge read...but I have to get that book from the library first.

Robin | 263 comments I liked it very much! It was very interesting...i learned so much more about the famiy. I gave it 3.5 stars.

message 10: by Robin (new)

Robin | 263 comments I didn't intend have another book for each category but I did intend to read this book, and it so happened to have a blue cover and I was also reading a real book, so it fit!! Woo more points!

Blue: real book

30 points for second book in challenge
0 points for cover and title requirement
3 points for 384 pgs
5 points for theme of betrayal
---

No partial points for betrayal this time. There was some straight up deceiving and lying going on. It is also a love story, as are most Nicolas Sparks books. I very much enjoyed it and gave it 4 stars! :)

Now I have to get my but in gear on either my orange book (Life of Pi) already got it from the library. Or the newberry book, nor the black/white book for the August challenge. Eek! So many books to read in August!

Robin | 263 comments I noticed the toppler, but I don't think I'll be able to join in this time. I am trying to get a job, and if all goes as I hope things will probably happen fast. (I'm a teacher, and schools are starting in few weeks). Also my grad school starts middle of the month. I don't think I'd do too well in a 24 hour toppler anyway. Though I hope to be able to join in on other week long ones at some point. :)

This was an interesting read. Not at all what I expected exactly, but good. I gave it 3 stars. Be warned if you plan to read it though, there are some gruesome parts. I didn't like them but they didn't bother me so much.

I liked this book, but it was so long! It had a lot of Egypt-mythology, and info about gods and goddesses. Its a Young Adult book, but probably geared toward the younger set in that category. Kind of reminded me Inkheart, because of the adventure aspect.

Robin | 263 comments Yellow, and violet! I did indigo. A Wrinkle in Time.

I hope I can manage it, with textbooks to read, and articles for research it might not be easy. Also even though I have my possibilities I've listed I may consider other books.
