Lindsey Rhodes (linnyak) | 5 comments Hey everyone, I'm looking for a new series to read but am getting tired of YA. Just not quite enough romance for me but not looking for Xxx either. A good amount of romantic tension keeps me interested. I read The Fever series and Highlander series and enjoyed them. Not so much into vamps right now but angels are good. Also like dystopians as well. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Michelle (michelle0613) | 9 comments Loved the Fever series!
Psy-changeling series by Nalini Singh is really popular. I haven't started yet, but will probably read book 1 sometime this month. First book is Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling #1) by Nalini Singh .
Also I liked Pride Mates (Shifters Unbound, #1) by Jennifer Ashley by Jennifer Ashley.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, #1) by Richelle Mead , Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison , Moon Called (Mercedes Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs , and Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost are some personal favorite series starts. The first two are not as gritty as some urban fantasy ones you rated highly.

The first succubus one actually not as much sex as title indicates and is a complete series, possibly one or two books longer than necessary. I liked Dead Witch and Moon Called a lot but did take second book before completely hooked--and I mean almost addicted.

Only Halfway starting Night huntress series have vampire main characters. All the above have vampires but as a race in the worldbuilding versus being a vampire series.

If you need a lighter break so PNR almost chic lit but quite funny, check out series starting with Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Jane Jameson, #1) by Molly Harper

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) Downside Ghosts Series by Stacia Kane is dark and gritty but really great! Has some good romance in it as well - at least after the second book :)

mmm terrible :)

I might also add that it doesn't have any vamps in it either... 5 books out so far!

First in the series is:

Unholy Ghosts

Terry (Ter05 TwiMoms/ MundieMoms) (ter05) | 608 comments I loved Shana Abe's Drakon series starting with The Smoke Thief. Shapeshifter dragons - not YA, romance, some sex but not smutty. If you like Historical romance, the best one ever - Outlander series. There is time travel, some bits of supernatural, and the greatest love story ever. For Fantasy romance - the incredible Tairen Soul series by C.L. Wilson - five books and the series is finished. I read them all and then turned around and read the whole series again. First book is Lord of the Fading Lands. I am not into books with real graphic sex but in this book it is just plain beautiful.

Nannie Katherine "MiMi" (infamousmimi) | 37 comments I've read A Scadalous Countess by Jo Beverley,Secrets of an Accidental Duchess by Jennifer Haymore, The Duchess Diaries by Jillian Hunter if you like historical romances. However they have more than heavy petting. LOL! I enjoyed them.

Nannie Katherine "MiMi" (infamousmimi) | 37 comments Alpha Instinct by Katie Reus. It's a shifters series. It has a good bit of sexiness but also suspense. A Lady Awakenend by Cecilia Grant is a good historical romance/sexiness. If your into vampires, Eternal Captive by Laura Wright grabbed me in the 1st chapter. Loved, loved, Loved it. It is the Mark of The Vampire series. I'm hooked on the series now! I read alot!
