Delta's half of the room is almost the exact opposite of Kelly's. Hung on the wall is a large tapestry-like poster with the song lyrics of various Mumford and Sons songs on it. Other posters of indie bands ad punk rock band line the walls. A Queen poster hangs over the large poster and CCC and Kiss posters are scattered across the wall. Delta brought a large steam trunk spattered with neon paint to SBS to carry her many artworks and writings. Various stickers from different countries are plastered to the dark, fading mahogany trunnk.
The bedsheets have been changed from the normal blue sheets to neon green and pink comforters with large comfy pillows that looks as if you couldn't fall asleep because they are too bright. A scruffy rug is set on one side of the bed and stuffed animals line the bottom of one wall. The closet is filled with flannel t-shirts, bright-colored shirts with logos, jeans, athletic shorts and three pairs of riding clothes, including the light purple vaulting costume.
The trunk at the end of her bed is filled with trophies and ribbons that she and Allegro have won. Over the bed hangs a Degas painting of a ballerina practicing, the print hangs in a large golden frame with leaves carved in the the wood. Right above that painting is another painting of a bay horse and rider with hunting dogs clustered around the hooves of the horse, ready for the hunt. Next to the bed is a small set of chester drawers with jackets and jewelry inside. A lamp with splattered oil paint on its cover sits on top with different pictures of Allegro and Delta sitting beside the lamp. A map of Italy is plastered to the wall just above the lamp to the side of the Degas print.
Kelly came down the hallway, Gem keeping her away from one too many close calls. As she approached the door, Kelly felt from top to bottom until she found the doorknob and opened the door.
The atmosphere instantly changed. Kelly realized all of her stuff had already been unpacked and laid out. She let Gem lead her to her bed and felt along the woven fabric of her favorite pastel blanket. She was contented for the time being. She sat back on the bed and then just let herself fall back after unhooking gem from her harness. Gem jumped up on the bed, laying herself on the fluffy blanket left for her.
Kelly closed her eyes, not that it made a difference, and took a deep breath.
"I'm home."

"I'm home."

"Hey, you must be my roommate."
Kelly shot up and looked back and forth in shock. She sat up straight and folded her legs under her, staring blankly in the direction of the window. "Who's there?" She asked, urgency in her voice.
Gem lifted her head, her short yellow legs folded neatly under her. She sat up like Kelly had and barked once, letting Kelly know there was no danger.
Kelly seemed to relax, her shoulder slumping a little. She turned her head slightly and repeated calmly, "Who's there?"

Kelly seemed to relax, her shoulder slumping a little. She turned her head slightly and repeated calmly, "Who's there?"

Kelly listened carefully to where the voice was coming from and turned around slowly, following the pitch to determine that she was on the other side of the room adjacent from her bed. She ended up facing Delta with ease. Her clouded eyes stared blankly at Delta as she carried on the conversation.
"My name is Keller Preston," she answered, twirling the ends of her hair between her fingers. "But, please, call me Kelly. It's nice to meet you, Del." She hid her displeasure very well, sensing that Delta was different and very opposite to herself. Yet, she still kept a willing smile on her face and a pleasant attitude in mind.

"What's her name?"
She pulled out a tube of orange lip gloss and smeared some on.
Kelly didn't move. "It doesn't bother me that I can't see you. Can you tell me a little bit a what you look like?" She asked, completely ignoring Delta's question about Gem. Kelly stood up and shuffled her feet in front of her until she bumped into Gem's harness and picked it up. She hung it on the end of the bed post by the handle. She felt her way back to her spot on the bed, narrowly avoiding Gem before finally answering Delta's question.
"Her name is Gem."
"Her name is Gem."

Delta looked over her clothes.
"I am currently wearing a Mumford and Sons shirt with a bright yelllow and green scarf and black athletic shorts."
Kelly glanced in Delta's direction. She could put the pieces together enough to tell that this girl was way opposite of her. She swallowed the sour feelings and gave a peachy smile. "Cool. I'm not too much for neon or bright colors, but I love sports. Do you?" she asked, trying to find something in common with Delta.

She picked up the large Mumford and Sons poster and grabbed some tacks from inside her bag.
Kelly smiled, thinking they may be getting somewhere. "I'm from Hawaii, so I surf all the time. And I used to play football and baseball with my brothers before my accident-" She quickly shut up and looked down at her feet without really looking at anything. She rolled over onto her stomach and started scratching Gem to calm herself.

She finished tacking the large poster and picked up a few Queen, Kiss and ACDC posters.
Kelly's heart sank some until Delta mentioned swimming. "Swimming? Really? Me too. I do barrel racing a lot because it helped me get back into horseback riding after my accident." Kelly sat back up and stretched before making her way slowly to the trunk in front of the bed and kneeling down next to it.

Delta rolled over and slid off of her bed to her knees. She opened the steam trunk at the foot of her bed and pulled out to two prints. A Degas and a horse. "Do you do Western riding?"
"Yes, I brought up on Western. I think English is too proper and high maintenance." Kelly stared blankly at her trunk, deciding whether or not to show Delta her prize possession. She's usually not so open and had already took an immediate disliking to the girl, but there was something about her...

Kelly opened her chest and felt around for a special frame that should have been concealed at the bottom. She wanted to find it and set it out on the window sill with the other pictures that she had discovered were there earlier. "Pages and I are a great team. She helps me, but we had to work for that. She is trained to be ridden by me and only me. I've never allowed anyone else to ride her because I don't want her to change."

"I bet I could ride her," Kelly said sternly, trying to make a point that her disability doesn't change the fact that she's a good rider.
She pulled out a wad of newspaper that protected her favorite picture. As she slowly peeled away the newspaper, a plain silver frame that caressed an old, partially focused photo. The picture was taken on the beach with a buckskin quarter horse on the shore. Sitting on the quarter horse bareback was a young girl, maybe five-years-old. This girl was Kelly. The horse was being led by an older woman that was her mother, ginger hair pulled back in a sloppy bun. Kelly took the photo against her chest and closed her eyes with a sigh.

"I have a cat back in Hawaii. Her name is Tears," Kelly answered, holding back some of her own tears as she felt over the picture's frame. She stood up tentatively and felt around until the reached the window sill. She scooted two of the other pictures over, one of her on Pages and another of her and her brothers with their surfboards. She placed the picture in the center and stares at it. "Zander..." she whispered to herself.

Kelly sighed, feeling the photo over with the back of her hand as if trying to feel the memory. "I miss being able to see things," she blurted out unconsciously.

Kelly blinked again, as if coming back from a dream. She stood up and felt her way back around her bed to Gem's harness. She lifted it by the handle and took it over to the bed. She turned around and listened to the shuffling to best judge where Delta was standing. "Can you help me?" she asked.
((In the roleplay, can you call her Kelly?))
Kelly turned a little bit to face Delta, having followed the sound of her voice. She blinked, her expression still blank and distant. "I need to put this harness on Gem because I want to go to the barn to see Pages." She held the harness up by the handle a little bit higher to show Delta what she was talking about.

"Oh, okay." She took the harness from Kelly and turned to Gem. She unclipped the harness and placed it on the bed. She scratched Gem behind the ear and let her sniff Delta's hand before picking up the harness again. She carefully slipped it over her shoulders and around her front legs. "There," she said, clipping the harness. "I'll go with you too. I need to see if Allegro has settled down nicely."
Kelly winced at the word. See. She shook off the feeling as soon as it arrived. Her expression showed no sign of the previous affliction as she snapped once, ushering Gem off her bed. Gem jumped off the bed and stood in front of Kelly, backing into her to let her know that she was there. Kelly grabbed hold of the extended handle on the harness. She walked slowly over to the door and Gem woofed quietly. Kelly reached forward, finding the knob more quickly than before. She pushed the door open.
"Let's go see Pages."
"Let's go see Pages."
The size of a normal dorm, this room is one of four in a small cottage near the pastures. Horses dwell outside not yards from the small cottage. This room provides an excellent view of the grass the grows wildly just outside the window. A serene environment for a couple of young riders.
Baby blue walls provide a calming mood for anyone who walks into the room. A small window is on the right side of the room, the left has two doors, one leading to the restroom and one to the walk-in closet. A dresser is placed in the far corner of the room, adjacent from on of the beds. A bed on either side of the room is tucked away into one of the top corners. A n aspen trunk sits at the foot of the bed, a soft cushion nailed on top to provide a small seat.
Kelly's side of the room is hardly decorated. She has pictures from when she was younger sitting on the window sill, for her twin size bed is right next to the window. She wakes up to the view of the horses, but can never see it. She always gets up at dawn, when the rooster crows and the horses whinny for food. Inside her trunk lays her precious riding attire and prize buckles from numerous barrel-racing competitions. She uses the dresser for her clothes, leaving the closet for Delta, except when she needs to hang her well-ironed show clothes just before competition. The sheets and comforter on her bed, that she brought from home, are sky blue with purple and yellow butterflies along with ruffled edges. A small flannel blanket is placed at the foot of her bed where Gem, her seeing-eye dog, sleeps in the night and naps in the day.
