Andrea | 5 comments I need a book that is really good but is around my age so under 16 years old please. Books that are action packed. I prefer with a strong female character. Any thing helps not a bunch of romance but it's ok if there is some in there. Books like Hunger Games, Legend, divergent, Flipped any books like that are cool. Non- fiction books are also cool I'm more of a fiction fan but non- fiction is awesome.Any thing that you think is a really really good book. Thank you please comment.

Harini Gopalswami Srinivasan (harinigs) Have you read "To Kill a Mockingbird"? It's a great book, and although it starts off slowly, it has quite a bit of action and a memorable female protagonist. It also leaves you with a lot to think about.

Moira (11moira) | 242 comments Mythos Academy by Jennifer Estep, there's 3 in the series so far with 4 & 5 on the way.
Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking is really good, does lean towards romance but not too much.
The Lightning thief is a good book, i know it has a male lead but it is action packed.

Ellinor (1001andmore) I really liked the Sally Lockhard books and the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. They all have a strong female character and a lot of action. There's a bit of romance too but not to much.

D.M. Dutcher | 339 comments Eden's Root has a very strong female character in Fi.
Verita also has one, who grows into becoming a biologist for a space colony.
Anna Dressed in Blood has one, but she's a cursed spirit similar to Sadako from the Ring. Kind of violent.
Unearthed has a female hacker who moves with her parents to a Mars Colony.
The Scourge has a wonderful one. She's a blind girl who is the only one immune to zombies in her village. So she must walk among them to gather water. Great twist.

╟ ♫ Tima ♪ ╣ ♥ (tsunanisaurus) Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant - The Gone Series by Michael Grant. I would put it in with Hunger Games/Divergent type books. Action-packed, within the right age group for you and very fun to read.

Pamela Love | 1510 comments The Strictest School in the World, by Howard Whitehouse and Whales on Stilts by M.T. Anderson are both very funny with strong female protagonists and lots of action. Each begins a series, too.
