My name is Eytan Zweig and I am a S&L listener (and viewer) and a lurker here at the goodreads community, but I'm also forum moderator for Escape Pod, the science fiction podcast magazine. EP has one of the largest audio audiences for short SF fiction, and is currently, to my knowledge, the only audio market that pays professional rates to its authors.
The reason I am saying this is because Escape Pod's third flash fiction contest is currently open to submissions, with the prize for the top three stories being guaranteed publication (paid at EP's usual rates). In the past contests, quite a few of the runner ups got published as well and several of the other submissions went on to be published in other markets.
If you have a story of 750 words or less, or you think you can write one by 15 September, which is when we close for submissions, please consider participating. The winning stories will be chosen by community vote in late September, and everyone is welcome to join, but I'll advertise that as it approaches.
