Hmmm, I think I may need studded, fingerless leather gloves for this one. White gloves would look very out of place. We're dealing with teenagers after all! Actually, I've found out that it was written by a 12-year-old girl. Not bad either for that age.
Not bad at all. She's got a long way to go, but how cool that you may have sparked a passion for writing in a budding author. Lucky girl to have discovered such a talent to emulate...

Andre, you're welcome to the white gloves with the mother-of-pearl buttons any time you like them. But don't forget, these studded gloves are for me to wear when I meet my teenage fans. One doesn't want to appear an old fuddy-duddy with teenagers.

Sorry, I came in before, but was so overwhelmed by the thought of Andre in black leather dress gloves and tiara that I had to leave for a recuperative tipple.
Andre, my children will tell you, I am the Queen of Dragons when the mood hits me. Just don't rub my scales the wrong way.

Eh? You must be confusing the Jutes with johnnycomelatelies who run in popularity contests. My family has survived because they are more violent than their enemies. And smarter, of course. I can walk up the hill before my house and look down on the ruined abbey at the head of the bay, sacked by my ancestors three times in the 9th to the 11th centuries. The casus belli was a fat abbot who didn't get off the road fast enough when the dogs of Erik Bloodsword passed. I still cycle that road...

It's somebody's rewrite of part of The Mark of the Dragon Queen. I knew people did this for real books, but it feels really strange to find my characters being rewritten. Strange but really lovely!
