Given that I am working and have also gone back to school I think this one is the most reasonable challenge I can participate in right now, especially since eating well (and I am a darn fine Chopped chef wanna be I might add) hopefully I have managed to finally wade through all the instructions on how to do things right in these forums ... so here goes:
Right now I am reading The Private Papers of Eastern Jewel by Maureen Lindley, set in China and Japan ... last evening we opted for Japan and had P. F. Chang's Shrimp and Seafood Dumplings (merely cut open the bag and follow directions! (best premade Asian dumplings I have ever found) because I learned a long time ago that Japanese stuff is not only labor intensive, but it takes lots and lots of years to get it to taste as good as some of the restaurants we have eaten in :) I do, however, read a lot of Asian oriented stuff and have some mighty fine recipes adapted to cooking from scratch that will eventually make their way into this one :)
