While I liked The False Prince, I doubt I will pick up the next book in the series. I did enjoy Sage's character, and it was refreshing to read from a male's point of view. I was excited about the plot and quick progression...in the beginning. The story plateaued and never seemed to escalate until the very end. The "twist" had me almost rolling my eyes, but I did enjoy the background story explanation - in fact, I think I enjoyed the tiny bit of background more than the majority of the story in Connor's home. Maybe because this is a series, I shouldn't be so harsh to the slow plot development - I just knew there could be so much more action.

Funny, I just borrowed this from the library yesterday. I was hoping that there will be action like the synopsis seemed to promise, but from what you've said, I think I'm in for a disappointment. Though, I'm still going to read it.

Absolutely read it! It's hard to explain without spoilers, but there is a type of action throughout, I just wanted them to move on to the next phase of action sooner :) I'm excited to hear what you think! Mine is definitely not the popular opinion, the book has stellar reviews!
