Melissa Gervais | 2 comments So I'm probably staring at the answer as I type
I have 3 questions to start with
One, does anyone here know if a decent writing software that helps organize jumbles of character sketches and plot outlines and chapter snip-its into a legible organized form?
Two, is it better to have a few manuscripts ready to go before hunting for an agent/editor/publisher?
and finally Three, where is a good place to start looking for reputable agents/editors?

Gregory Lamb (gregorylambpdxauthor) Scrivener is the software suite you're probably going to enjoy using.

Why not go "Indie" and self publish from one of your manuscripts - If you haven't explored the "Smashwords" website, you might try that before diving into having an agent rob you of royalties and a publisher sap away the rest from your hard work.

An editor? Now that is a different story all together. Worth the investment and yes, you'll of course need a manuscript for that.
