William

I personally don't want him with Gilly. I think he needs a real woman, not a child. I'd like it better if he would turn into a big brother for her.
The thing I wonder is which series his book will belong to. At first you'd think LOTU but Gena only talks about Cameo's and Torin's books being left.

I think with what Gilly went through in her past she is probably more adult/woman than we might realize. I would like her to have her happy ending. Besides I think William needs someone good and somewhat innocent to help offset his bad side. Afterall he is immortal, related to Lucifer, and helped create the 4 horsemen of the appocolypse.
Either way I really hope we get a book for William. I think he definitely deserves one
So far Gena hasn't decided whether or not she will be writing a book for William, that's why it's not listed as part of the series yet, that's the last I read about it anyway

I totally agree with you Jessica. I only hope that we get to read a book about it. I hope Gena decides to write their story. I will forever keep my fingers crossed that we get their book..yes i said their because i am thorougly vested in them as a couple LOL

Good points Sophie. I would like a Galen book as well. Perhaps he finally finds redemption or something.
Well William and Gilly's book would definitely have to be when she is at least 18, we have to have her legal. I believe Danika and Ashlyn are in their early 20s so they aren't really that old either considering their men are thousands of years old. I think I remember in Saben's book that he said Gwen was at least a little older than those two and she was like 26 or 27. But yes I am in agreement that she would have to definitely be older than 17.

If any of you are familiar with Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series, one of the main couples is Hawke and Sienna. When you meet Sienna in book 2 (i think) Sienna is like 15-16, and Hawke is the pack alpha and like 30 (give or take a couple years). Their book was book 10 and Sienna is 18yrs old. It was a touch controversial because of the age thing, but honestly, Singh did such a good job with their storyline, that their book is still my favourite book in the series. I feel like Showalter has the opportunity to do the same thing with Gilly and William, but she can't rush it, and i think so far so good for where they are at in the series!
As for Galen... I am curious about him... but I got the feeling him and Legion had potential even though she's not doin so great as of late (sorry if i'm wrong, haven't read the books in a while and some of the details are a little fuzzy for me :S )

If any of..."
Steph I am in complete agreement with you. You definitely bring up some great points. Gena has the opportunity to let William and Gilly's relationship build overtime. I think it would be great to be able to read their relationship develop overtime, from protector (william), to friends, and then to lovers. I think it would also give their relationship a solid base.
Yes you are right I think Galen and Legion have potential. Just have to wait and see what the future books hold.
I haven't read Psy/Changling series yet. I have them all I just haven't started them. They keep getting pushed back. Are they good? Maybe I should push them up instead.

Some of my favourite PNRs in general are those where the couple already has a history and the reader has grown with them from the beginning. It feels less rushed for one (No I-Love-yous within 24hrs of meeting) and as a reader, by the time their book is out, I have an attachment to both the individual characters as well as the couple. So I think a slow growth of Gilly and William's relationship would be very beneficial if they do in fact end up together.
Nalini Singh is my favourite PNR author.... So IMO they're AWESOME! :P Singh's style is a little different and it took a couple of books to get used to it, but now, I RUN to to go buy her books (both psy-changeling and guild hunter series)! In a genre that's quite saturated, Singh's worlds are quite unique and refreshingly so. And even if you're like, "meh" for the main couple, the side stories and those developments (like Hawke and Sienna for example) still make the book great. Singh is probably the author i "promote" the most because I feel she can be quite underrated considering the stories she produces. (I just wish the North American covers of the Psy-Changeling series were less cheezy poof - I know i delayed reading the series because of those heinous covers)

Well thanks for all that info. I like both kind of relationships but I do find myself more involved with the ones that progress overtime. The ones we get to read about more of their interaction with one another before the decleration of love. There are quite a few that I have loved that have the instant attraction but so far I have yet to dislike a couple in which we get more of background story to them is I guess what I would call it.
I think i'm going to have push that series up the stack now. I bought most of them when Borders was going out of business because I got them for like $1.50. So I was like sure why not..but you are right aboutt he covers. I think that could be why I haven't read them yet. I look at the cover and am like oh good gawd what did I do LOL

Oh I like both kinds too... If I was against the whole instant attraction thing, I don't think I would like many PNR books hahaha.... I just find when there is some history, even if just a little, they are often ranked higher for favs in any given series. It's a trend I've noticed after reading so many over the last few years.
Never has the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" been so true than with that series. The worst was the Hawke and Sienna book as it was hardcover with a giant man-chest taking up 80% of the cover with a wolf howling to the moon. UGH! cringe-worthy. I like to read on the bus but there was NO WAY I was going to do it without taking off the out-cover first.(Even goodreads doesn't have that cover as the primary cover - they show the UK one) By the way, you seriously got a good deal on those books *high five*

Lol! I know what you mean! I sewed book covers so no one can see what I'm reading;) Even some of the milder books have really sexy covers. I'm totally not complaining, but it's difficult while I'm sitting at my daughter's dance class with a bunch of conservative women reading my PNR;)
I can't wait for William and Gilly's book. I think when she's 18 or 19 would be good. I believe Sienna was 19 or just turning 19 when she and Hawke started dating and Singh did a great job with the development of their relationship. I would really love to see Galen and Legion too. I don't generally like reading about the bad guys so I'm hoping there is some major redemption on Galen's part.

I think people have mixed feelings about this. Some want them together, some don't.

I have no doubt that Gilly is more mature than other teenagers her age due to her history. But she is still a child. Seriously, the way she and William behave sometimes makes me roll my eyes. She should get a nice human boy her age. William a grown-up, independent, awesome immortal woman. I'd like that better. I prefer William and Gilly as best friends or brother/sister. Everything else is ewww to me.

So right now, I do think Gilly still has some growing to do, but at the same time, so does William. They both act like teenagers most of the time, Gilly justifiably so, William being a basic man-child 80% of the time. Both are not where they need to be in order to deliver a great love story, but I'm prepared to wait five books or more down the line if necessary.
I think it's probably split down the middle about who readers want Gilly and/or William to end up with. I'm personally for the two of them ending up together, but not any time soon. The timing isn't right yet.

Good point Steph. Most PRN's have the immortal man with a much younger women if you think about it. It doesn't really bother me one bit. Age is just a number. lol. I don't think a they are ready for their book but I really hope in a couple more books they will be. I think that Gilly being so sweet and inoccent is perfect for William. He needs some one to keep him from the darkside.

But no matter what Gena will do with William, we surely will have to wait a while.

I would love to be the woman who tames William from the Lords of the Underworld. He just stopped over to visit with Koldo in Beauty Awakened, the second Angels of the Dark book, and I was reminded of just how much I love him.

I hope so too. But Gena is a William/Gilly fan.

LOL You learn more in Beauty Awakened!!

Cant wait! 2013 is going to be one crazy book year..

Also, wasn't Gilly living on her own and working as a waitress when we first met her? ...Maybe she was still with her parents, can't remember. Anyway, it seems like with her being in high school she comes off as younger now. But I definitely think Gena will wait until she's at least 18. Otherwise, uproar from the fans.

I pronounce it like a J, otherwise I think of that silly character from Saturday Night Live.

I'm really curious to see how William's curse plays out. Since the woman he loves kills him, and I can't imagine Gilly doing that, maybe he will end up with someone else. But I hope not! It would make sense if Gilly got a demon, then she might attack William. Oh, that really makes sense! I like it.

I just read the William interview in the links thread. He was an ass of course but funny too, especially this:
"Francesca (blushing): So, uh, yeah. If you could only take three items to a deserted island, what would you take?
William: A blond, a brunette, and a redhead."

Although if I met him in real life I probably wouldn't like him. I hate arrogant guys. In fiction it's okay cause he's so damn funny.
I'm seeing that too, Lulu. Dead for a millisecond and then the hand of God brings him back like usual. Ah well. I can live with the silly fixes as long as the journey there entertains me.

in Koldos book? ( sorry if you don't understand everything I'm writing here, my english is not very good) :)
