My name is Nick Russell, and while I have been active on the Kindle Voice of the Author/Publisher forum and Absolute Write, I'm new here. I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a little about me.

I spent much of my life as a small town newspaper publisher, but for the last 13+ years my wife and I have lived and traveled fulltime in a motorhome and publish the Gypsy Journal RV travel newspaper. I have also been actively blogging for several years now.

For several years I have been self-publishing printed books on RV travel topics. In May, 2011 I published my first mystery novel, Big Lake, to Amazon's Kindle program. It has been very successful, selling over 100,000 copies. Beyond my wildest dreams. The end of January, 2012 I published the sequel, Big Lake Lynching, which has also done well. The next book in the series is being proofed now.

I am looking forward to being a member of this group, to sharing and learning with and from all of you, and trying to figure out all about Goodreads.

Hi Nick, I am new to this group as well, so I am probably presumptuous in welcoming you, although I have been following the group's posts for a couple of months. I am impressed by your resume' and the success of your first novel, Big Lake. From the title it looks like a book I would be interested in reading. I have published a couple of novels on Kindle, but have not had the success that yours appears to have had. I hope you will share some of you marketing secrets with us as time goes on.

Mike, sorry to be so slow in replying. It's been a very busy fall for me. I wish you much success with your publishing efforts. What genre do you write in?

Mostly, mystery, but that is stretching it where my book Separate Truth is concerned. It is just a tragic story with a happy ending. Thanks for asking, though, Nick.

What are the titles, Mike?

Hi, I like Goodreads very much,but my language is spanish and there is very little of it yet. As an author I was thinking to upload a complete novel of my own here, but I am afraid that nobody will found it, unless a strong promotion of my part.
I would appreciate some indication in that sense
