Vicki I looked it up and it doesn't list the 6 titles on Amazon (or GR)...it also says "true crime". Is that right and are you able to list the 6 titles?

Hi Brenda: I can confirm that it is true crime. It’s not a big book: “Length: 52 pages (estimated)”. I picked it up when it was free. If I see it free again, I’ll post it on the freebie thread.

Here’s the TOC, which I’ve now added to the book page

TABLE OF CONTENTS

KILLER CONNECTION BY ANN RULE
After 23 books, an esteemed crime writer shares the true story of the thrill of the chase, her writer’s intuition, and her encounter with a real serial killer.

"BETH'S BEEN KIDNAPPED!" BY DONALD ROBINSON
The two women were alone in the isolated house. Suddenly the lights went out, and they heard the sound of shattering glass.

SHOWDOWN BY ANITA BARTHOLEMEW
At the crest of a hill in Kansas City, Missouri, in the old stone house on Grandview Road where he had been born, Donin Wright and his girlfriend, Janet Clark, held loaded rifles...

THEY TOOK MY LIFE BY GRAHAM BUCK
His wrongful arrest led to 12 years in jail. David Shephard can't make up for the lost time—but he's determined to try.

THE INTRUDER BY ANDREA COOPER
About 6:30 on a sunny autumn morning, a man high on methamphetamine wandered aimlessly through a San Jose residential neighborhood, prowling through yards, testing back doors. One clicked open...

BLOOD MONEY BY MICHAEL CROWLEY
At first they seemed little more than small-town smugglers. Then the trail led to the world's most dangerous terrorists.

Thanks so much Vicki:) I'm glad you were able to do that..much more interest if you know what the stories are in the book.

When I added the book to GR, I just copied and pasted the Amazon data. I was going to email the editor to recommend she add more detail (and create an "author" page), but gave up searching for her email address.

This was a very interesting read. I thought it was an easy read and I also found it a bit sad. But I would certainly recommend it.

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 280 comments I've just finished Killer Thrillers! Vol. 1 -- and rated it 3 stars.

It wasn't up to the standard of other Reader's Digest true crime books I've read, like Crime Casebook and Crime Files, which is what I was expecting. Disappointing.

I've only read one of Simon Kernick's so far -- The Payback -- but loved it. Sigh, so many good authors, so little time...

I hate that with self-pub authors Geoff. I have come across it a lot too, and it definitely destroys the enjoyment, and lowers your star rating! They do themselves a disservice, that's for sure!
