Carolyn | 2081 comments My first Ken Bruen, Galway Girl Galway Girl (Jack Taylor #15) by Ken Bruen - quirky, violent, sardonic noir! Loved it! (But clearly won't appeal to everyone!)

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Mercy by Jussi Adler-Olsen #1 in the Department Q series and also known as The Keeper of Lost Causes

I have had this one sitting on my TBR for over 4 years, have nominated it for group reads a few times in that time, have included it in challenges and then swapped it out, and finally got to reading it.

Really enjoyed it. A "cold case" investigation, with likeable and quirky main characters, and doesn't dwell on the grim details of the crime too much

Looks like I have another series to read.

Mercy (Department Q, #1) by Jussi Adler-Olsen ★★★★☆

Carolyn | 2081 comments Cold Fear by Mads Peder Nordbo Cold Fear by Mads Peder Nordbo was an excellent follow up to The Girl Without Skin, which I recommend reading first to understand the characters and setting.

Sonya - if you click on the 'add book/author' feature just above the comment box you can search for your book (and author) and then choose whether to 'add' to your text either as a title or cover by selecting the buttons below.

A bit of early Lawrence Block, not a mystery or crime novel, more soft porn/erotica. I still had fun listening to it as it livened up the otherwise drab and dreary drives to and from work! 3.5/5
