Something a little lighter to follow perhaps Gretchen :)

Sonya Bates | 7 comments Currently reading The Secret Keeper. Not a new one, but I love how Kate Morton weaves mystery into her dual timelines.

I agree, Sonya. It adds interest to see things unearthed from the past.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments History and mystery, a great combination! C.J. Sansom's Shardlake series is terrific, and the third book, Sovereign, finds our favourite hunchbacked lawyer mixed up again in the dangerous power struggles of Henry VIII's England.

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Murder in an Irish Village by Carlene O'Connor.

Didn't know when I started it, but turns out that this is #1 in a series. Enjoyed it, but not sure at this time if I will continue with the series ... have the feeling that they will be fairly samey...

Murder in an Irish Village by Carlene O'Connor ★★★☆

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments I just enjoyed a welcome visit to Three Pines where Louise Penny shows us the Montreal art world and Clara's unique talent - or is it just A Trick of the Light? I love these people, especially Clara, (and I never liked the victim anyway).

Kerri_M | 785 comments Just finished Vendetta in Death by J.D. Robb. #49 and latest in the series.

Another good outing with Dallas, Roarke and co, - but I noticed for the first time that it is not very who-dun-itty - The reader knows very early in the book who is the person. Are all the Dallas books like this? Do I have to re-read all 48 to re-assess? Not this year I wont (but I will pay more attention in the future). Come on J.D a little bit of suspense for the reader is a good thing!

Vendetta in Death (In Death, #49) by J.D. Robb ★★★★
