I have found a lot of his books seem to be written for possible film rights - can almost hear a director off book yelling - AND ACTION!!
Carolyn you do realise you are about to commit yourself to two of the longest and best series around don't you?

I love long series of good books as long as the author can keep the plots fresh and the characters interesting, otherwise I do tend to drop out - eg. lost interest in the Wheel of Time after book 10 or 11. (The Complete Wheel of Time)
I'm also currently half way through Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and plan on reading Brandon Sanderson for the first time so it could be a big year (or two) for new series!

I am just starting The Handsome Man's Deluxe Café by Alexander McCall Smith. I think this would be classified as a cozy mystery?

And I finished The Handsome Man's Deluxe Café. A quick but delightful read.

I'm into fantasy right now but I have some really good crime type books lined up for January! Including Brittle Shadows, The Black Echo, Revival and 1st to Die.
Have you read any of the Women's Murder Club before Phrynne? I really enjoy them. I have Unlucky 13 to read, which I'm up to, and 14th Deadly Sin: is due for publication on 26th Feb:)
The only one I have read is 4th of July which I read once for a challenge. I enjoyed that one.
I saw in the paper today that Kathryn Fox has joined with him to write a new book. That should be good!
