Peter Stankovic | 109 comments I've just finished David Baldacci's 'The Forgotten' which opened mysteriously and ended with plenty of action - probably written for film possibilities. There are many twists and surprises - it's an interesting read if you enjoy thrills and gun-fights.

Sally906 The Forgotten by David Baldacci

I have found a lot of his books seem to be written for possible film rights - can almost hear a director off book yelling - AND ACTION!!

Carolyn you do realise you are about to commit yourself to two of the longest and best series around don't you?

message 1054: by Carolyn (last edited Dec 03, 2014 04:16PM) (new)

Carolyn | 2081 comments Haha! Bring it on Phrynne!
I love long series of good books as long as the author can keep the plots fresh and the characters interesting, otherwise I do tend to drop out - eg. lost interest in the Wheel of Time after book 10 or 11. (The Complete Wheel of Time)
I'm also currently half way through Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and plan on reading Brandon Sanderson for the first time so it could be a big year (or two) for new series!

You're 4 ahead of me Carolyn:) Or are you not reading them in order? Is it good?

message 1068: by Carolyn (last edited Dec 06, 2014 12:52AM) (new)

Carolyn | 2081 comments I picked up quite a few second hand via Bookmooch and managed to read the first four in order but then a few out of order and missed this one before. It's good so far for cozy crime - mystery of a missing pregnant girl. I prefer the Phrynne Fisher series though :)
