It's very down to earth and real. Liking the series so far.

I loved the first in the series and was a little disappointed in the second. I'm hoping the 3rd is up to the standard of the first:)

I just finished this today Brenda and thought it was excellent as well (will read your review once I've posted mine). Think I've caught up on all my NG books now - there seemed to be a lot due by 1st March.

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments 5★ for the still available The Australian Greens: From Activism to Australia's Third Party by Stewart Jackson, who really knows whereof he writes.

This is everything you could possibly want to know about the Aussie Greens, but also has a lot about European groups and parties as well.

Huge amount of research.
May review

PattyMacDotComma | 813 comments 4.5★ for Matt Brolly's second in the series Dead Lucky (DCI Lambert #2).

Dead Lucky (DCI Michael Lambert, #2) by Matt Brolly

I haven't read the first one, but I thoroughly enjoyed this good police story with characters I liked in a well-written, fast-paced mystery. I liked Lambert, too.

Elias Zanbaka | 16 comments Just finished re-reading Ice Station by Matthew Reilly. It still hasn't lost its touch and for me remains a benchmark in action-thrillers. 5/5 from me.

Ice Station by Matthew Reilly was a great read for me too when I read it a long time ago...

message 2096: by Elias (last edited Mar 24, 2016 11:02PM) (new)

Elias Zanbaka | 16 comments It was the book that actually got me into reading in high school. It was recommended to me by a friend who knew how much I loved the genre but just couldn't find anything that engaged me. Now I read pretty much anything thanks to that book.

That's excellent:) It's amazing how many people have a similar story about a particular book!
