Hi Elaine, you need to post this in the author section please... http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...

Make your own thread, where you can promote your books when you want. Thanks:)

Wow i thought you had gone off Miss Clark Brenda?"

I did for awhile Michael, then when this one came out, I thought I'd borrow it from the library. It was great...back to her old form:)

I gave Seconds Away 5 stars Geoff.

message 367: by Helene (new)

Helene Young (heleneyoung) | 4 comments I haven't discovered Mary Higgins Clark, Brenda. Which one would you recommend I should read first??

On another note, loved Bronwyn Parry's Dead Heat. It's a gripping suspense set in the Australian outback plus a believable but powerful love story. It's just been shortlisted for the Daphne du Maurier award and also for the RITA award in the USA. She's one of my favourite authors.

Helene, I can't wait for Darkening Skies, and I'm hoping I'll be able to go to Bronwyn's release, somewhere near here!

With Mary HC, she has SO many, and I enjoyed her until a couple of years ago, when they seemed to become predictable. When this one came out, I decided to try it from the library, and really enjoyed it. So perhaps you could read her new one, Daddy's Gone A Hunting.

I'll Walk Alone
Just Take My Heart are two I gave 5 stars to, the others I've read I gave 4 to. But don't read anything which is written with her daughter, Carol HC, they aren't very good IMO:)

Good luck, I hope you enjoy her...

message 369: by Helene (new)

Helene Young (heleneyoung) | 4 comments Thanks, Brenda, I've added myself to the lengthy library queue for now for Daddy's Gone A Hunting :)

Good luck:) I have a LOT of her books here which you could pick a few from, but you wouldn't have room on Rooby;)

message 371: by Helene (new)

Helene Young (heleneyoung) | 4 comments Thanks, Michael, I'll choose carefully then.

Brenda, you're sadly correct - it's ebooks or library books for me now... The upside is a beautiful vista!

Thank goodness for the kindle I guess! Your circumstance (and others like you) makes it much easier to read your favourite books, except for that wonderful feel of a paper book in our hands:)

It wasn't too bad, pretty predictable and cliché which I'm always annoyed by.

I really enjoyed Fetish..I read it back in 2006 and it was the beginning of the series for me. I was sad when she published the last one in that series earlier this year:(
