I love Alex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She had real love with him, without him there would be no series!!!!!! He made Lena happy and taught her how to love!!!!!!! Lena just took pity on Julian, and thy knew eachother for 2 weeks in PRISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus, she was using him as a way not to think of alex without realizing it

I serious and truly vote for Alex... in book #1 when Lena sees Alex walk into her work she almost falls down from her stool makin a goofy grin on his face
...when she sees Julian she didn't fall for him...CASE CLOSED...ALEX ALL THE WAY
i can see Julian walkin around the Wilds and Hana escaped when ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE and made it to the freedom side and when they land eyes on each other they fall in love and lena gets Alex after they get everything back in order

ALEX!!

I have a few points about why we like who we like more. I won’t be covering all of them, but these are a few I thought should be mentioned. Long ramble, but hopefully it’s meaningful.

Alex-
Pros- To Lena Alex was a wake up call to reality. But once their relationship began, it was nothing short of a dream. It was a summer romance. It was first love. It was like being born for the first time. He was her savior in a sense, always there, always full of love and life, and completely flawless. He had chosen her based on the energy and life she radiated, rather than choosing a girl that was just beautiful. He risked blowing his cover and his life by admitting he was uncured, all the while having no reassurance from her that she wouldn’t turn him in. He showed her the beauty love had to offer, despite her doubts about the deliria and her insecurities with herself. Alex’s irrevocable love saved her life and soul the night of the escape. He had given up everything for her. When he was gone her almost dream like love life shattered completely, because he left a deep impression on her heart that could never be erased.

Cons- I want to point out that, there are a lot of moments between Lena and Alex that we didn’t get to read. There were a lot of fill in the blanks in their relationship, because it spanned was a long period of time, so some people probably didn’t quite as attached to him because of it. Also, Alex has been somewhat vague when talking about his past with Lena. We don’t have too many things to latch on to when it comes to the fine details of his life story.

Julian-
Pros- Julian and Lena’s love, on the other hand, grew in the midst of a literal nightmare. His presence eventually gave her comfort in those hellish tunnels. Lena and Julian’s relationship was a weak flickering light that was nursed into brightness. Lena didn’t want to fall in love with Julian and neither did he. They were on opposite sides, and yet, despite everything, love happened. Julian had been taught to hate uncureds, but he quickly overcame what had been drilled into him from a young age. Lena took a much longer time to come to terms with the fact that Alex was uncured. Julian's father was a tyrant zombie and his brother died because of it. He has also been living major parts of his life in fear of death and he implied that he didn’t have friends. It’s clear that he had been beyond strong, to be able to hold back his true thoughts and feelings because he wasn’t allowed to voice it under the suppression of the society’s beliefs. Julian is someone who changed paths towards good and it’s clear he doesn’t regret it. Lena is going to guide him about a lot of things, but it’s wonderful to show someone a whole new world. Alex was Lena’s first love, so maybe now that she has more experience she comes to decide that Julian is better for her. He helped her love again and start her life anew. She had helped him discover love and it must have meant more than anyone can imagine, because no one had loved ever loved him.

Cons- Julian's feelings for Lena may have partially stemmed from the rush of suppressed longing and wonder for the opposite sex. Same goes for Lena, because maybe she hadn’t been in such close proximity for so long with another guy. Also, she may have been desperate to find love in an attempt to fill the void in her heart. People do that sometimes.
