Victorians! discussion

I'm all smiles at the end of this one.

I'm trying to decide if I liked LLF or Little Princess and Secret Garden more. LLF was just so sweet, but there was hardly any drama or climax, even for a Victorian book. We only needed to worry for about two chapters the Cedric wouldn't become lord, and before we could rightfully get worried, the whole thing was resolved.

Personally I felt that the moral in this story was my poignany than in SG or LP, but I missed the dark mysticism that was present in those works.

Thoughts?

I really enjoyed LLF. I especially enjoyed seeing the opening of real life in the grandfather.
