Jim | 21812 comments So you see that my wallet is a sad shrunken thing, a pathetic reminder of what a wallet should be. I open it a nothing flutters out but a few IOUs

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments See there - I am childless and I have crisp euro notes in mine.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments They are here. We have shops full of things we can exchange them for. I can even use them on Amazon!

message 63: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I thought Ireland was supposed to be an economic wasteland, with desperate survivors fighting pitched battles over the dwindling supplies of guiness...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Don't believe everything you hear on the news.

message 65: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I think it was on the 'Olds', not the 'News'...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well how about you come over here and see for yourself. You might find it pleasantly civilised after the wild and wooly wetlands of Wales...

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Actually, I love Ireland. I've been a few times, and want to try Dublin in the new year

Dublin is shaking in it's shoes! Seriously, if you are around, let me know and I might be persuaded to buy you a drink. Only one mind...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well there is Bovril and Cocoa available as well.

Jim | 21812 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Well there is Bovril and Cocoa available as well."

That will be an interesting experiment...

message 73: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I don't drink Bovril. If that's the limit of the city's excitement, I might change my mind.

(I could do with a new one.)

message 74: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Aug 30, 2012 12:39AM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We have a few mind shops, so you can pick one up over here. we have a large range of alcoholic drinks to, should you wish to try a new experience. And a couple of excellent vegetarian restaurants.

Oh and book shops, and music shops.

message 77: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Book shops? Music shops? I'm sold!

Now, for a space in the diary. Then, to work out how to make the trip tax deductible...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Will wrote: "Book shops? Music shops? I'm sold!"

Were you going cheap?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Arrrrgh! I am on the train home and it is infested with shrieking yeenage girls. I think you will understand. . .

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments And yeenagers are even worse!

Jim | 21812 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "I wish, I wish!! .."

There's never a fairy with a magic wand (or even a high volume hosepipe) when you need one

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments No teenagers in my ivory tower... sigh.

message 91: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Ivory is socially unacceptable these days.

You need to relocate.

Well its 5000 years old, and made of mythical creature's horns.

message 93: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21812 comments Well they weren't mythical when she hunted them to extinction for their ivory, but they are now

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments It wasn't me, I'm not 5000 years old! It was the previous Medusa. I just inherited it from her.

Jim | 21812 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "It wasn't me, I'm not 5000 years old! It was the previous Medusa. I just inherited it from her."

hmm, no record here of death duties having been paid

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Mythical beings don't have to pay death duties. I think its because there is a bit of a problem collecting them.

message 97: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Bet George osborne would have a go

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Could he stand up the army of mythical beings protecting my tower?

message 99: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21812 comments Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Could he stand up the army of mythical beings protecting my tower?"

Politicians are used to mythical beings, they must be the way they talk about 'honourable members' and suchlike.
Any mythical beings would be sucked down into a morass of well dressed mediocrity and would vanish without trace, leaving not a ripple in the sea of plump, well fed and well scrubbed faces

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Maybe... but I have backup. You don't think the Medusa has survived this long with just one protection...
