You could get a teacup pig - they stay small and cute. Too bad there's not a teacup cow - I'd love to see that. ;)

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky | Rating: 5 stars

I definitely think this book is primarily about love. The love between Charlie (the MC) and his friends is very important to the book, as well as the love between Charlie's family members.

Lisa | 283 comments Nathaly - The Hedge Knight was my first graphic novel. I thought the artwork was great. I really enjoy George R R Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, so I was excited to read a graphic novel that was related to these novels. Graphic novels aren't really my thing, but I enjoyed this one since it gave me more of a taste of my favorite book series. ;)

**My favorite comic strip is Cathy - Why I like this one is summed up in the Intro on GoComics: Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

4. The 4th week of September is National Dog Week. Read a book where a central character is an animal or the book is about animals OR tell us what your favorite animal is and why it's your favorite. (For bonus points, post your favorite youtube video of it.)***I'm tweaking this one because the 4th week of September also happens to be my birthday so I am reading this book:

Well I have zero interest in reading a manga or graphic novel so I guess I will talk about comics. To be honest, I haven't read a comic strip since I was a kid. I liked the old ones...Peanuts, Marmaduke, and Cathy. I can't say why specifically I like the cartoons I listed other than they are just a few of the classics that I grew up on. I don't even know if the Cincinnati Enquirer runs comics anymore. I don't read comic books either.

4. The 4th week of September is National Dog Week. Read a book where a central character is an animal or the book is about animals OR tell us what your favorite animal is and why it's your favorite. (For bonus points, post your favorite youtube video of it.)

It's really good. I mean, it is about the holocaust, so it is pretty depressing, but really good. I actually really liked how Spiegelman changed the people into animals - it adds a layer of separation that makes the story easier - especially when they are talking about the gas ovens, or burning people alive.
