AA: Which beast would you choose?
I wouldn't mind connecting with my neighbor's dog, if only long enough to convince it I'm not the threat to it and its owners it seems to believe I am.

It would be a wild animal from feline family. I always admired Drizzt's astral panther.

Whales a good one though, I wonder if there thought patterns are the same as their song.
More than likely it would be a wolf. Our temperments are quite similar. But then again it could also be a cougar...

A Sloth. I just need to know how they manage to do nothing all day without internet or TV.
When my mother was pregnant with each of us 3 kids, she had a lot of free time (I kept her bedridden for her 2nd and 3rd trimester), so she handmade each of us quilts. My quilt has a panda, my brother's butterfly, and my sister's a koala. My sister and I have kind of "adopted" those animals as "our animals."So part of me thinks I'd bond with a panda (side note, I've been looking for a long time for a panda tattoo that doesn't look like the World Wildlife Foundation logo)...but I don't think people would describe me as "panda-like." I think I probably identify most with large cats, like a leopard. I'm more a loner than a pack animal (if I were a pack animal like a wolf, I'd be the pack leader), have a bit of cunning. And if you get on the wrong side, my claws will hurt...
I think I'd enjoy flying as an eagle. The book doesn't seem to have Fitz trying to bond with the hawks, does it?

This kind of reminds me of the daemons in golden compass. Also i can't believe no one else would want a monkey. They are extremely smart and they throw poop.

I've recently been ill and bed bound and discovered my cat has a great life, so happy little kitty for me otherwise dolphin, flipper would be great all that freedom
I'd have a mischief of rats who could travel with me in my sleeves, in my hood, in my pouch, etc. They are so clever, funny, portable, and loving, that I'd never be sad or lonely.
I would have to say my cat or my dogs. Half the time I'm so connected to them I already feel like I know what they are thinking all the time.
Probably a dog. So original, I know.

I think the best part of Wit is the fact that you can connect to multiple animals. One day, I'm connected to my dog, the next a rabbit, the next a horse, the next a deer, the next etc....If only one animal, I would go with a ram or a buck, something with horns capable of attacking my foes, but still something fun and curious to bond with.
I would go with a big loyal dog. Probably a newfie. I think it's just the easiest for me to envision because I've always grown up with a dog. They are that furry family member that loves you unconditionally, so it's easy to see myself bonding wholeheartedly with a dog.
Zoo City had people bound to animals; the main character was bound to a sloth. I liked the mention of a guy tied to a butterfly.
I'm with Paul, I'd definitely bond with an otter. They always look like they're having fun and they're water babies!

I don't think I'd want to bond with one animal. I'd rather just be able to dip my awareness in and out of whatever was around me, perhaps creating small bonds with various animals, but nothing too solid. It would be too painful if something bad happened.
A grizzly bear and/or crow (a murder of 'em if that's an option). Oh, a dolphin would be great, too
If you could choose only one beast for bonding with... which would it be? would it be a pet or a wild animal?
I personally would find interesting to share minds with a panther. Basically because my pet is a black kittie, so I'm thinking of a wilder and meaner version of him hehe
