Katie (httpwwwgoodreadscomsophiepine) | 16 comments I finished this earlier today, and...gulp. I've read other Jim Thompson novels, and quite a few murderer as narrator novels, but this one was darker, and unlike other anti-hero books I've read.
I wasn't routing for the bad guy (Lou) to get away, nor did he sway me (like the 'that could be the guy next door' killers in Patricia Highsmith and Ruth Rendell's oeuvre).
If anyone has read The Killer Inside Me; I'd love to discuss Lou's condition, and at what point the story shifted into a full blown episode, along with what happened with the maid...amongst other things.
