Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments That's great to know, Linda. Thanks :)

Breann | 398 comments I've been meaning to read this one for a while now. I'm excited to start!

Laura Hampton | 55 comments Loved this book! Have read it twice now. I can't wait for book 2!

Breann | 398 comments I'm so ready to get home to start this one!! Is it 4:00 yet??

Breann | 398 comments At 21% and all I can say is... Arrogant much? Talk about super stalker alpha male. (not that I'm really complaining though) I really like Eva so far. I'm glad she isn't being naive about Gideon... so far.

I can see why people would compare this book to 50 Shades. But really, that's just insulting to Ms. Day.

I agree with you on that. Reading this, I have to wonder if she's sometimes poking fun at 50 and it's origin with all the different names of the gray suits and shirts Gideon wears and the fact that Eva feels "dazzled" by him. But, Lordy! Ms. Day can write some love scenes. She's the only author other than Jaci Burton that has made me literally blush while reading a book LOL

I love that Gideon continually goes after Eva when she runs away and tells her to stop running and talk to him.

Apologies for putting my foot all up in your conversation but THIS struck a chord. I too liked that G wouldn't let Eva run from her problems, but I wish Eva wouldn't have kept putting him in a position where he had to chase her. The first few reasons E had for running away, I understood. But after awhile, it seemed like she was pulling reasons out of her ass. I enjoyed E in the beginning but IMO, she quickly became one of those women who're just mad to be mad. G would think "WTF did I do wrong now?!?" & I was right there with him. E shares a lot of similarities with the heroines in the YA books I read, which is a bit disconcerting since this book is extremely erotic.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments There's something about Eva that rubs me the wrong way and I just can't put my finger on it yet.

Breann | 398 comments Yes LL! It was okay at first but then I felt so bad for Gideon. He was trying so hard to please her! And she just kept up and running away. You could tell how heartbroken it made him and how much he was struggling to do and say the right thing to make sure she stayed. What I DO like is that they are equally effed up. So many times one MC is destined for the looney bin and the other is their "savior". This time they are both crazy and bad for each other at this point. I'm excited to see where their relationship goes from here. Oh, and I love Cary. A lot.

Don't be silly. You are ALWAYS welcome in our convo Lethal!

Crystal Lee (crystalleeauthor) Am I allowed to join even though I've already read this book? I'm actually half way done rereading it. I loved this story and have been trying to find people to talk to about this book because I don't know anybody else in my real life that has or is willing to read it.

I agree with you, Breann. I loved how they were both screwed up and had their own demons to contend with.

And the way Gideon speaks. Oh man, he could make a woman need a handtowel to sit on at all times.

How far are the rest of you into this book? I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'll be careful with my comments.

Crystal Lee (crystalleeauthor) Oh, I have to say I absolutely loved Eva's nutty mom too. She was a great character. Equally screwed up as the rest of them.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments We've both finished it, Crystal :) So feel free to say what you want about it.

You're right about Gideon and the way he talks. Very hot :)
