I got my hands on book 3 & 4 from the series, will I have problems following the event ( and be forced to go back to the 1st) or I should be fine whith where I start?

I'm having no problems following the story so far, but I guess I missed some smutty scenes...

You probably won't find it hard to follow - Harris is good at filling in the blanks from previous books.
Books 1 & 2 focus on Sookie's relationship with Bill, so you might have a different take on their relationship come later books... but I don't think it'll be too bad.
