Elementals [Advanced RP] discussion

No one needs to move their characters; the topics need only to be moves to their designated folders. This will minimize confusion while still keeping the group organized. Topics, such as the "Boardwalk" and "Ballroom" topics, however, would simply remain where they are, currently.

I am currently on a mobile device, so I may not get to it until tomorrow evening or later tonight (I'm at my aunt and uncle's house, six states away from my own home and my uncle's on his laptop), but I can handle moving the topics and relocating characters if necessary.

Christa, you mind if I bring in somewhat of a storyline? I was going to do something about bringing in 4 Lost Elders--1 from each kingdom--and have them set out one last trial for each set of Rising Elders (or current Elders, as you would probably prefer it), given that the owner of those Elders would also go along with it ([my only problem there might be Payton, but we'll see]), and have them just become 2,500 year-old Past Elders after testing the leadership and abilities of each of the Elder pairs. I was also going to have them do something with an area (given you'll let me make a topic) that would've been the sight of the last battle of the Elemental War before the Elders decided to make peace and would have it house a Great Crystal, which would serve as the origin of the Elements. I'm not trying to make this a violent RP or bring a war into; I just wanted to create some unique intertainment that would enlighten people of the past generations that would've been in this roleplay through the use of these Lost Elders, the Great Crystal, and the Elemental Crystals that each Elder would bear. I'll be sure to keep it in moderation, as there won't be a lot of fighting in it anyway, other than similar entrences for each Lost Elder (so don't get mad at me, given you'll let me do this, if another event like the one at the mansion with Steven occurs, as it will, like Steven's, mainly just be for show and serve as just a flashy entrence, so to speak).
I would ask that I could get a response to this within a couple of days, as I am working toward the threshold, where it would make no sense to go back and do all of this, and would like to be able to do it, if you will let me.

Well, the only violent thing would be toward the beginning where no Lost Elder would have their memory and would think the same way Steven did. Therefore, the same incident would occur, however, like Steven's incident, it would just be for show and not an attack, which means you'd need patience during that session. Though, if I do this, each Lost Elder would be the current Elder, meaning the "current" Elders would be Rising Elders and not full Elders. However, like I'm doing with Steven, right now, I'll have them place a trial before the Rising Elders to make them the true current Elders. This also means that, temporarily, they will be stronger than the Rising Elders until the trails are done. I'll explain the lore a little later, too, BUT, the Great Crystal, for what I had in mind, was going to be a hidden place where the last battle between the Old Elders took place. Which means that the power there is unstable, since it would hold the power of all four Elements, so I would NOT suggest that as a training place. :|

This is somewhat of a short storyline, which means there would also require people whom it would concern ("Elders" and "Past Elders"). Also, if we do this, I'd have to play as all four Lost Elders and, since they're already powerful and important enough, I'd also be forfeiting my reservations on Elders, so, if you want to get another moderator (which is completely up to you; I'm not telling you to!) to take them (granted they also qualify as a moderator) or let one of you other three moderators take them in order to balance power and prevent a conflict of interest or a conflict of power.

No, I'm trying to resolve that as quick as possible. XD The matter of the trials, though, is what might be a bit more of an issue. Each trial would be similar to that of the Old Trials. The trials are what would be laid out before the current set of Elders by the Lost Elders in order to make them the true Elders. The Fire Trial is the only dueling one...but it's also the quickest and the most simple. The other trials would be a bit more complicated and could take longer, so patience and understanding (and an open mind) would be needed for that to work right.

I'm going to try to explain this in terms of a history lesson, so please bear with me.
-----------------------------------------------------
Begin History
Back, during Steven's time, there was only one Elder for each Elemental Kingdom. The last Elders (or Lost Elders) were Steven (Fire, Male), Kyle (Earth, Male), Susan (Water, Female), and Kaitlin (Air, Female). Each of these Elders bore an Elemental Crystal. The Elemental Crystals were fragments of the Great Crystal--the home of the origin and power of the four Elements--that housed the power of the Elements and gave that power to a bearer, which then granted them the ability to assume leadership over each domain. Shortly after, however, each of the leaders, or Elders, wanted power for their own and began to wage war against each other. This began the Elemental War. The Elemental Kingdoms waged war against each other for a thousand years before Steven, Kyle, Susan, and Kaitlin comepleted their trials and assumed the throne.
At the age of 500 for the four new Elders, they set out, after discovering something significant about the Elemental Crystals, set out to claim the Great Crystal as their own. Each Elder met, unintentionally, with their armies at the center of the world, where the Great Crystal was located, and began the last battle that would occur in the Elemental War.
After the end of the Elemental War, during the last great battle (which I'll get to in the RP), those four Elders became "Lost". This happened because Steven ([it was going to be one of the Elders, so don't think I'm picking favorites, here, I just chose Steven, since I made him first]) lost control of the power of the Elemental Crystal he bore and created a giant inferno that threatened to destroy the center of the world, so the Great Crystal created a barrier that squelched both the powers and memories of the Elders and imprisoned them in that scorched land, which was hidden from the outside world by the same barrier, for a thousand years.
About a decade after the battle, each kingdom gave in to despair and believed that their Elders had died in the inferno and from each kingdom two new Elders--a male and a female--took the throne and believed that they were truly the new Elders of those kingdoms. Every Elder after them were either by decendent or succession. However, since the four Lost Elders were still alive, their power and status never fully passed down to the new Elders, making them basically stewerts (Sp?). Therefore, since these Elders still claimed the throne, they possessed power that was beyond normal Elementalists, but never the full power of the true Elders. This is the equivalent power of what would normally be Rising Elders, which are now what the Lost Elders will refer the "current" Elders to be. The main reason why they did not possess the powers of the true Elders is because they did not pass the trials that were accostomed in each kingdom and claim the Elemental Crystal.
Once these Elders assumed the thone, greived at the loss of their leaders, a meeting was held at a sacred garden, where a single flower grew with only four petals, each petal bearing the color of the four Elements and pointing to the kingdoms respectfully, surrounded by a circle of perfect stones and a statue built on the corners of the circle ([don't bug me about the logic in that, as you'll see what I mean in a second]) that lined up with the petals of the flower and the four kingdoms, each carved into the form of the sacred being that resembled each Elements. During this meeting, the eight Elders declared that the Elemental War should end and that peace should be brought between the four kingdoms. There, they built a great mansion, where a Great Ball that serves as a ceromony of peace was to be held every year to signify the end of the war. This mansion was held to the north of the Great Crystal, which became lost due to the barrier surrounding the scorched plains and the odd Elemental activity that occurred around the barrier created by the Crystal to prevent any outsiders from passing through the barrier in order to keep its location and the location of the raw power of the world hidden.
After the thousand years, of which the Lost Elders were imprissoned, unconscious, had past, the Great Crystal cast them out into the exile land of each of their respective kingdoms, then, shortly after, their sacred relics--ancient artifacts made of adamantite--, which the Great Crystal contained their memories in. After about a decade, these relics were found by the Elders that now ruled each kingdom and declaired them as the sacred relics that the Old Elders bore when they had left for the great battle and placed them in their castles respectfully as the symbol of their kingdom.
The four Lost Elders still bear their Elemental Crystals, which have dimmed out and hold only a fraction of the power of the Elemental origin, but have no memories of their past lives. One by one, they have been naturally drawn to the sacred flower, but have become suspicious by the strange activies that occur at the mansion and begin to become upset and their old ways awakening.
Steven is the first to reclaim his memory, as his sword, which had the figure of a great Dragon carved into it, symbolizing the aspect of power, has been returned to him by the "currnet" Fire Elder, Peter, and is about to begin his trial to pass down his power to the two "current" Elders.
Kyle, Susan, and Kaitlin have yet to be reawakened and have yet to be introduced into the public. Kyle's relic is a ring, molded with a gem that was cut into the shape of the Earth Element's sacred being, symbolizing the aspect of strength. Susan's relic is a necklace, carved with the waves of the ocean and the Water Element's sacred being, symbolizing the aspect of wisdom. Kaitlin's relic is bow, imbedded with ancient gems into the shape of the Air Element's sacred being, symbolizing the aspect of courage. These three reclis reside within their Element's castles respectfully and await the return of their owners.
End History
-----------------------------------------------------
Any Elders that assumed the throne after Steven, Kyle, Susan, and Kaitlin are random Elementalists that either took the throne by being a decendant of the current Elders (such as Jaidyn's character's case) or by sucession, where they stepped down from their throne and allowed a newer, younger generation to take the throne. As it has only been a thousand years since the end of the Elemental War and the beginning of the Great Ball, there have been...let's say...seven Elders since the four Old Elders (this might require some slight age changes, as no Elder or Past Elder, other than the four Lost Elders, should be more than 800 years old, as it would mess up the lore somewhat, but no other changes would be necessary). No Elders that have assumed the throne after the four Old Elders are in any way related to the Lost Elders. [Note: the "Old Elders" and the "Lost Elders" are the same people.]
If there's any other clarifications needed, please let me know, but I tried to make this as clear as possible (or what I had in mind, anyway).

Alright. The only thing I ask for is to keep it in somewhat of a flow until all four Lost Elders pass on their power to the "current" Elders, then they'll just be pretty much normal Past Elders, with some more experience and knowledge, but still with a tentative relationship between Elementalists of other Elements and a very...unpredicatble...relationship between the other Lost Elders. And, since I have relinquished my reservation to two normal Elders, I'd like these people to still retain somewhat more of their power than other Past Elders to somewhat keep them at par with the normal Elders, so that I may still retain some significance in the roleplay. XD The other thing I ask for is that, when the other three Lost Elders make their appearance, PLEASE have some patience during that session, as it's going to be very similar to Steven's entrence. And no, I won't have it all occur at the mansion, but I'll have them around somewhere either in town or in some outskirts, but, as the history states, I would rather them not start out in their respective kingdoms, please.

That's me, since I would know most about the lore in this. But, like I said, since I'm managing four Lost Elders, I'm relinquishing my normal Elder reservations to reduce conflict. If anyone else RPed as the Lost Elders, I'd have to explain their history, lore, and role in depth and that would cause irritation and discourage the RPer and I'd like to prevent that.

I'll get started on the Lost Elders when I get a chance to get on a computer, but, right now, I'm not feeling well and I haven't been for a few days, now, so I'm having to lay down. I'm on my I-touch at the moment.

They've all been entered, now. Steven's at the Fire Elders' Castle, Kyle's at the South Park Bridge, Susan's at the Dock, and Kaitlin's in the Forest.

If I'm going to take over this group, I'm going to change the power lore a bit to match what I'm used to. Please let me know if you have a problem with it.
There will be two choices to chose from and I will allow the mods to choose which they feel more comfortable with.
Rules for Elemental Powers (1):
Fire: Able to control natural fire and Elemental Fire.
Water: Able to control natural water combine Water in the air and pull water from other non-character beings.
Air: Able to control wind and form suctions to pull the air out of beings (within limitations for character beings).
Earth: Able to control all non-living Earth-related objects: rock, stone, dirt, sand, and mud.
Rules for Elemental Powers (2):
Fire: Able to control natural fire and Elemental Fire. Able to control Lightning.
Water: Able to control natural water combine Water in the air and pull water from other non-character beings. Able to form Water into Ice and vice-versa.
Air: Able to control wind and form suctions to pull the air out of beings (within limitations for character beings). Able to manipulate air within other Elements (within moderation).
Earth: Able to control all non-living Earth-related objects: rock, stone, dirt, sand, and mud. Able to manipulate metal.
Please tell me which one of these you would perfer.

I need to talk to the mods. I would like to make a folder for each elements charters. That means a fire element thread for fire elements and so on, but am not sure hwo to get everyone to move their charters to each section. I think having all the elements jumbled up in the same thread A) makes it hard to find your charter and B) it is hard to keep the elements even. Should I braodcast a messgae asking everyone to move their charters to the new threads that I will make or should I as the head mod do it myself?
