Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments I love spreadsheets. I make them for everyone at work and then I have to teach them how to read it.

You'll see England is the most popular place to visit in this Book Challenge (up to Msg 285).

Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments This is excellent Tanja. Thank you.

Elizabeth (Alaska) I see you have Guernsey listed as France, but the Guernsey Islands are English.

Usako (bbmeltdown) | 654 comments Figured people can look at the spreadsheet to easily see recommendations for certain countries rather than searching through 8 pages of postings.

I'll finish once I give my eyes a rest.

Usako (bbmeltdown) | 654 comments Updated the spreadsheet and thanks Elizabeth for that edit!

The United States has taken the lead at 19 with England at a close 18.

If a person said BookA visited US City A and US City B plus Country C, I listed the book three times alongside each visitation.

For example, in Band of Brothers, they go from the US to England to France and lastly Germany (well then back to the US).

Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments I don't think I added these books:

Floating in My Mother's Palm - Hegi - Germany
Sarah's Key - England/Germany
The Wild and True Adventures of the Hunt Sisters - USA
The Zookeeper's Wife - Germany
The Factory Girls - China

Elizabeth (Alaska) Meg - what did you think of the Hegi book?

message 359: by Meg (new)

Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments I liked it but was a tad disappointed because Stones from the River was so terrific. If I had read it in reverse order I think I would have thought differently. It was good but not outstanding.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thanks, Meg.I guess it's too much to expect 5 star reads from an author every time.

Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments I know. Don't get me wrong I liked it but I didn't love it. I am still going to read some other books from her, because I thought Stones was extraordinary.

Elizabeth (Alaska) I got Stones at a library book sale just because I liked the cover, and for 50 cents, why not? What a treasure!

Katie (katieisallbooked) | 319 comments I'm reading Inkheart right now. Well, actually listening to it on audio. I'm trying to figure out exactly where the "real world" parts take place. The internet has given me some conflicting information. Anyone know for sure?
