Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments "Eve must immerse herself in her billionare husband Roarke's world of big business..." ??? HAHAHAHAHA! That's going to be humorous!!!

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
I agree! When I first saw that description, I had to re-read it. This should be good:)

Cher (sharpei) | 61 comments Sounds awesome! Yeah, everyone knows how thrilled Eve is to emmerse herself in her hubby's biz. Lol.

TinaNoir | 106 comments Oh, this sounds awesome. For once the script has flipped and Eve is in Roarke's environment. I am sure hilarity (and bad temper) will ensue.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
I think you're both right, Cheri and Tina. We should expect lots of laughs with this one.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I can't wait... This one looks really good.

message 7: by Ren Puspita (new) - added it

Ren Puspita (renpuspita) I wonder when this series will end. But then, if the last book finally made, I don't think I can't say goodbye. I hope the romance department in this book will increase, esp between Peabody and McNab

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
Nora keeps saying she has no plans to end the series yet. She still has plenty of stories for Eve and gang.

message 9: by Debby (new)

Debby Harrison | 8 comments OMG that sounds so good.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments Eve working in Roarke's world... can't wait to see their dynamics!

Nora has plans for this series still and I think it's been said as well that if Eve ever gets pregnant (which isn't any time soon), that it might indicate the end of the series.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
Nora states definitively that an Eve pregnancy ends the series.

Jeanie Jackson Jonetta wrote: "Nora keeps saying she has no plans to end the series yet. She still has plenty of stories for Eve and gang."

I am so glad. Still love her books and always waiting for more.

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I am excited about this one, but when hasn't Eve used herself as bait.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
I think that would be a short list, Dee:)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
Nora has posted an excerpt of the book. Here's the link:

Cher (sharpei) | 61 comments Read the first chapter and it sounds great.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
I read the first sentence and knew I'd better stop or I'd get upset when I got to the end:)

message 18: by Dawn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn | 3250 comments I just read the excerpt...cried like a baby from the get go. Can't wait for its release

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments I don't know if I'll read that excerpt. Then I won't be able to wait at all!

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I bookmarked it. We'll see if I actually read it......... It might just make me more impatient (if that's physically possible)!!

message 21: by Dawn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn | 3250 comments I read it, and it definitely made me more impatient. And it isn't being released until July mass market.

Helen Peter | 15 comments Read the first chapter and did not want to stop. Why oh why did I read it, cannot resist and now so impatient for it to be out.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
Well, now you two have convinced me to stay away from reading it. I don't do patient very well:)

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Finalllly Eve gets to spend 9-5 in Roarke's world. I bet he's gonna be loving it.

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
This is going to be good:)

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments Cinia—I know, right? Eve's going to hate it. I wonder what Roarke will think... I wonder if this book will have a fight in it... along with a loverly make-up scene... haha!

message 27: by Dee (last edited Jan 17, 2013 03:44AM) (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I reserved my copy yesterday. I love when a new book of my favorite authors come out. The only problem is after I read it I want another. Fortunately I have several authors that I love. I would go crazy if I had to wait for only one or two of them to finish their books.

message 28: by Amber (new)

Amber (shiinebriight) | 4 comments Pre-ordering today! I can't wait to see how Eve fares in Roarke's world. And it's a nice change from seeing him immersed in her work.

message 29: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I know this comes out this month, but what is the date?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
February 26.

FYI, the book list has the release dates for all pending titles for future reference. After release, the date is changed to reflect the year of release only.

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments YAY!!!

Sharon Michael Downloaded this with my first cup of coffee. Only about 50 pages in so far but has the 'feel' of one of the good ones.

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I've read the first chapter. Do we need to designate this as a spoiler zone so we can discuss when we're done?

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15062 comments Mod
I'll go ahead and change the topic to indicate it's now a spoiler zone.

message 35: by Dawn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn | 3250 comments A little more than 24 hours and I am done...now what do I do? Hmmm...start over?

Sharon Michael Me too. But I read so fast I know I miss some things, so I usually go back and re-read, slower, a couple of weeks later.

I know I'm still going to giggle again at the kid confrontation. I have met so many little monsters that I wanted to threaten it just did my heart good to have Eve do it ... and the mother was so funny!

message 37: by Dawn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn | 3250 comments The mother was really funny. Take me to jail officer lol

Right ... and if you'll take off your boots I'll kiss your feet!

The scenes of her early exposure to Mavis's daughter were so funny although she's getting better adjusted. Another really funny scene (and I don't remember which book) was the family BBQ/picnic with Mira's family and the little boy, about toddler age, tries to feed her fruit salad.

message 42: by Dee (last edited Mar 03, 2013 08:36AM) (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments The gang is back! On the last several books-from NY2D to Delusion, the side charachters weren't making much of-if any appearances. Let me tell you they are back. Especially Baxter and Trueheart and Mavis and Trina. Also Robb has introduced a new character.

The book was another of Robb's hits. Can't say it was an absolute favorite, but I really thought it was good.

Drz | 17 comments Just starting to read it.

message 44: by Leslie Hernandez (new)

Leslie Hernandez | 1 comments Interesting to me this is the first book that I have heard them talk about the Internet and texting. Usually it's ppc and tagging someone. It's kind of weird to hear.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Wow, I am kind of bored with this. I'm finding it kind of slow paced (just starting chapter 9 now) and really struggling to get through it. I have however enjoyed the scenes of Eve interviewing Alva & Sissy and the snowblinding Candida. (Can I also moan that every time I read Candida, the horrible song by Tony Orlando & Dawn go through my head???? Gak! )

LeiCa | 761 comments i am trying to read very slowly so that i won't finish in awhile ...

Betsy I enjoyed this book, as I enjoy all of her books, but it seemed that most of the elements, and even the characters, were rehashed from earlier installments. All in all, not her best.

LeiCa | 761 comments i just love this part:

“All this frantic excitement just to catch a glimpse of a cop? It made her embarrassed for New York.

When she whispered as much to Roarke, he laughed. Just laughed, then completed the embarrassment by kissing her.
And the crowd went wild.

“Cut that out!”
“I might resist,” he said, lifting her hand to his lips, “if you’d stop delighting me.”
“I’ll work on it.”

It was just part of the op, she told herself as reporters began to swarm. Just part of the trap.

Great night, looking forward to it, blah, blah, yeah, yeah, the dress is Leonardo.

Whose shoes are they? They’re my shoes.”

message 50: by Dawn (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dawn | 3250 comments Wow. A lot of people are saying the same thing. I finished it in one day and, while it isn't in my top 5, I liked it a lot better than those in my bottom 5.
