ughhhh...The Ritual does sound fantastic I just don't know if I can fit it in right now. I'm not sure when I can take the reins on my TBR list again.

I'm holding off on it and it's hard to do, especially since I gave up on Ancient Images. Started Black Crouch's Pines last night.

Wish my library had some Blake Crouch books. I read Desert Places a few months ago but my kindle broke and I now I'm stuck with whatever my small library has.

Pines is really good. Luckily I have a bunch of his books on my Kindle waiting for me.

I bet your library has Abandon.

Tressa, I'm trying the sample of Pines. I have this gift card from Barnes & Noble and hoped I could put it on my nook but alas they only offer the paperback. :(
Never read any Crouch - should I start with a different one?

Look at Abandon and see if it's your cup of tea. He writes more thrillers than horror. I gave Abandon 5 stars. Read my review.

Eerie was really good also although I didn't care for the ending. I have yet to read abandon, snowbound, and run. Other than that I have read all of his books.

Thanks Tressa - Abandon sounds good. Haha the hardcover is cheaper than the Kindle. Arrg! My physical library is over two thousand books. Can anyone spell "hoarder?" Gotta clear my shelves.

I just went ahead and checked and I cannot lend it. I can lend serial killers uncut, hunting season, stirred, or break you. All of my other books of his are either unlendable or already been lent.

That was so nice of you to check for me. I'm so new to ebooks and lending and such. I have to learn how to do it, but I have What the Night Knows (Koontz) I think on my Nook if anyone wants to read that.

I am new to kindle lending myself, I am making a shelf on lendle.me and then I will work on one here.

Also, If you befriend Blake crouch on Facebook he gives out a lot of advanced reader copys to his fans that follow him. that's how I got a few of his books for free.

Yea when I first heard arc I had to Google it, even though I knew what an advanced reader copy was I had never seen it abbreviated. A couple weeks ago someone told me they owned Edward Lee's brain cheese buffet but it was a dte that she bought before she got her kindle and hasn't read it yet, I had to look that one up also.

Haha - now I have to google another one.

Oh so hardcopy. Got it. On Goodreads they kept calling it dte like you did, but I couldn't find the words just the initials.

I've always seen it as DTB not DTE. I didn't know what DTE meant either.

Began Eerie this morn. So far so great. Having the kids think like kids is refreshing after Dean Koontz kid dialogue fiasco in What the Night Knows.

I recently read "The Ritual" and loved it. I wish they were all that good.

I enjoyed The Ritual, too. It wasn't perfect, but it was a page turner. Chuck, there's a thread in this Buddy Reads folder for The Ritual if you're interested.

I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands in December. So if anyone has a book they would like to do a buddy read for then, please let me know. I have a list of books I would like to read, but I'm open to anything.

The Ritual sounds amazing. May try to squeeze that in before oct ends.

We really enjoyed The Ritual. It's definitely worth a read.
